@Jimmer-jammer I'm glad you enjoyed the Sco songs from his oeuvre of work, Radio is great, but then, they all are to me. Apart from his Blue Matter record - that sounded too 80s for my tastes. Care to recommend something yourself?

Oh boy, a whole bunch of people are playing Glasgow over the next few months. I’ll probably grab tickets for Sea Power, Black Marble, The Jesus and Mary Chain, LCD Soundsystem, Viagra Boys, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Big Thief, Yves Tumor, Cloud Nothings, Dinosaur Jr, Jeff Rosenstock, Low and Richard Hawley.
Part of me’s also tempted by this year’s summer gig in the park of Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy to appease my inner 12 year old. It’s like £70 though so no chance 😂
@nessisonett Ah if only I didn't have responsibility for the little guys. Totally envious especially for Sea Power, LCD Soundsystem, Yves Tumor, Low and Richard Hawley!
@Jimmer-jammer I reckon that's a brilliant mini-review of Gish right there, the jazz drumming certainly intrigues me but I am not really a rocker any more. Interestingly enough, I identified with Billy Corgan's sentiment on Mellon Collie, that is to say, the sentiment he had when writing that album, 'putting his teenage memories in a shoe-box and putting it away under the bed' when I was listening to it, that was the last time I seriously listened to rock music, I have only had a casual/occasional interest in it ever since.
N.B This is because rock and metal represent my teenage memories/self to a large degree.
@Kidfried been meaning to ask, did you already see Aldous Harding?

@Kidfried I think it’s some sort of live-stream disco thing playing the Madison Square Garden set. Big adverts everywhere here as it’s not a tour but an exhibition from the members of the band and some photographer guy that’s only being shown here. It’s in an old subway tunnel as well!
@Kidfried makes sense. I actually prefer listening to recorded works. Attended a couple concerts when I was younger but now I just like to very privately enjoy my music, alone and away from the world. I've even bought tickets for shows that I just never went to - Ray LaMontagne and Imogen Heap.

@zupertramp Unironically, I would rather listen to Peppa Pig’s album on repeat than force myself through Donda. After the car crash that was Jesus is King, I’m just plain done with Kanye.
@Keith_Zissou I feel like between Manchester and Glasgow, you could cover most bands that come to the UK. We get quite a lot up here and even if they don’t go past the border, it’s only a train away to go down to Manchester or Liverpool. We have a pretty thriving music scene between us!
