@RogerRoger My mate worked in Cineworld and I can attest to the scummy practices. Plus her descriptions of the state of the cinema after a screening of 50 Shades of Grey basically made me never want to go near the seats ever again.
@RogerRoger@nessisonett This isn't quite the same but I'll never understand what switch flips in people's minds that turns them into outright slobs at the cinema. Kids are another story but this thing where grown adults just leave all their trash behind is just bizarre. Anyway, just a pet peeve of mine and I had to let it out.
A little more on topic, apparently yesterday was Mean Girls day which meant being forced by my daughter to watch the film. I hadn't seen it. It was typical high school movie fare though I can see why it was a little ahead of its time in some respects. It also made me realize there's probably little Lizzy Caplan can't pull off. It took me a good portion of the movie to realize she's Annie Wilkes from Castle Rock.
Oh and, just to clarify, I really like Janelle Monae but honestly she deserves better than Antebellum. Although there is this one shot with her very near the end that, wow, could have been really powerful had it just been in the right movie. Also the opening tracking shot is nice.

@zupertramp Mean Girls is one of my favourite movies of all time. Absolute classic teen movie with some iconic lines and one of the best satiric takes on teen melodrama. I mean yeah, I’m at the age that it was required viewing but I do feel that it still stands the test of time. Right up there with ‘But I’m A Cheerleader’, ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ and ‘Clueless’ for me!
Anyone seen the new trailer for the remake of The Witches? I don't particularly like the look of it personally. Looks rather tame compared to the original (Which I admittedly have quite a fondness for).
The make up and prop effects in the 90's version by the Jim henson studio were fantastic & Anjelica Huston in those prosthetics as the Grand High witch may or may not have terrified nine year old me when I went to go see it 😂
Will there be theaters left to show these delayed movies in?

Very intrigued by this. It's apparently set in 1998 too which means it's around the time of RE2 as well. Robbie Amell is definitely an interesting choice for Chris Redfield, and Tom Hopper DEFINITELY looks like he could play a solid Wesker.
Really hope this and Jordan-Vogt Roberts' Metal Gear Solid movie actually do their respective source materials' justice. I definitely have high hopes for MGS given how much of a vocal fan the director is, and how well written those codec skits he posted on Twitter during Metal Gear's 31st anniversary were.
@TheFrenchiestFry Robbie Amell is basically perfect for Chris Redfield, I’ve seen him in a few things and he’s the perfect mix of meathead and lowkey goofy to pull it off.
I am currently about halfway through Anger Management with Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler I am at the part where Buddy just arranged for Dave to meet up with his former patient in a romantic setting, it all goes pear-shaped obviously

I watched the original Terminator there. Forgot just how good it was. I have to say though, this is my first time watching it in HD on a bigger screen and I saw rather more of Arnie than I remembered. You get a proper look at Arnold Schlongnegger swaying in the wind.
@nessisonett Yeah my younger mind must have scrubbed that from my memory. Or more likely it was edited when I saw it on TV.
I saw another Toby Kebbel duffer earlier in Bloodshot with Vin Diesel and Guy Pearce (who is someone else that needs stern words with his agent). Wasn't as awful as I thought it would be but found it a bit predictable in places and there was some noticeable use of CGI in a few of the main action scenes. Toby's dance near the start is something else too. Not as cringe as another Toby in Spider-man 3, be he was almost there.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
