@colonelkilgore I got the complete uncensored series on dvd, UK region version - 1 or 2 - I forget so do check to avoid getting one you can't play, from eBay. Good luck hunting one down though! Oh yeah and do make sure to watch out for your rival, a certain secret recipe-poultry-pedalling sanders! š¤£

@Th3solution Ok cool⦠so it would maybe on Sky Atlantic in the UK in that case as they seem to show most HBO shows. Cheers Sol, I have a bit more of an idea where to look now š
@Yousef- cheers buddy⦠Iād rather not purchase it individually though as I spend enough on tv subscriptions as it is. Iām kinda like the tv viewer equivalent of a Gamepass-stan š
@colonelkilgore Youāre welcome. And I agree ā for some reason I just donāt like to pay a la carte for TV or movies, and if somethingās not on a streaming service I already subscribe to then Iām just not going to watch it! š
TV is a little different from games in the sense that 90% of them are disposable and thereās way more options out there so I donāt feel the need to own many of them. I previously bought a lot of my favorite movies, but now I find that I almost never watch them, with a few rare exceptions.
I know thereās are TV and movie enthusiasts that enjoy having physical libraries of their favorite shows and thatās fine too.
āWe cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.ā
Totally agree with people's views on streaming services, except that I don't like the idea of ongoing charges for things for the most part, unless they are absolutely necessary for modern man's survival in the Western world.
I also plan to binge watch a few more episodes of The Boondocks tomorrow and then do some more farming in Elden Ring, still in the mid-late twenties for my character's Strength stat. Planning to go after the trolls once I get to 40.
Edit; Hopefully 40 is enough to kill them easily, any response from the vets amongst you on that?
@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN str isnāt really for strength, per se. Itās for builds and to wields specific weapons in mind. It can increase damage, but thatās not necessarily why you raise the stat.
I donāt quite like streaming services either. Donāt have a single one. I prefer owning shows when possible or catching them on tv. Kuwait also occasionally gives a second theatrical screening to old films so thereās that too.
Ronaldo in Fatal Fury is all kinds of funny.
I was hoping the article would be posted on PushSquare to see what the commenters/forums posters here think given the respectable number of footie fans (myself very much included) rather than direct a TI which donāt get me wrong itās fine but I rarely go there so Iām kinda curious what people here think. This wouldāve been a hilarious way to shake up the discourse from all the usual ps5 doomposting.
Like it says in the book, we are blessed⦠and we are cursed.
What ******* book?
@Yousef- Agreed, though the comment sections are way worse on social media sites like Instagram. I think itās the bad moderation on that site that enables everyone to be negative. Thank goodness that PS, NL, and PX have active and kind moderators that make sure the site is safe and positive I like these sites way more than social media sites for that reason.
@Yousef- Yes, civility is in short supply in recent years. Discourse has trended toward absolutes and name-calling. As @Pastellioli mentioned, it seems worse on social media at large, which is one of the main reasons I avoid the likes of Twitter/X, Tik Tok, Instagram, FB, etc.
I think I discussed it before, but thereās studies on social interaction to suggest that people respond most openly to changing their minds when spoken to face-to-face, especially if it takes place in a friendly setting (over dinner, for example). Also, people tend to have stronger opinions when they feel like they discover something for themselves and come to their own conclusions, rather than being convinced by someone else. ā So in other words, when a person blasts another through the confidentiality of an online argument itās the least effective form of debate and the involved parties just dig into their positions deeper and deeper.
So I think this is why comment sections spiral into a more toxic atmosphere of polarized extremes. People so rarely talk to each other face-to-face anymore. And everyone has access to mountains of misinformation from which to draw their own erroneous conclusions. Then you end up with large swaths of the populace suffering from the Dunning-Kruger Effect, more and more convinced that theyāre right about something, despite them actually knowing less and less about the subject.
Edit:
āIgnorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or thatā¦ā āCharles Darwin
@Th3solution the Dunning-Kruger Effect is a fantastic reference point and ties in incredibly well. I would also like to add people will harden if they think theyāre being put on a spot or confronted on something and have to prove themselves when thatās very likely not whatās going on at all.
Some people also unnecessarily confuse ignorance with stubbornness, and think they if you express a view that means itās not a view youāre willing to change. I also hate it when people put words in your mouth or lump you with the opinions of someone you never interacted with. Group lynching is the WORST.
Now thereās an extremely thin line between negativity and being critical. You can be critical without being negative, and you can be negative without saying anything of value. We obviously canāt police that stuff nor is it our place to dictate whoās being what but even so⦠some people need to SERIOUSLY take a chill pill man. Seriously.
Like it says in the book, we are blessed⦠and we are cursed.

Oh yeah. One general note Iāll add to everyone is that Iām not really seeing myself tuning in for todayās livestream to be really honest. Believe you me, Iād die to get in with the guys and have a good laugh throughout, but 1 am in Kuwait is NOT a good hour especially if you work a regular 7-2.
Thatās right, you heard me, and not thatās not a typo. Our shifts do actually start at 7 am, as opposed to 9 am compared to a few other countries. Iām also already been really harming my body with how little sleep Iāve gotten in the past two days. If I INCIDENTALLY happen to be online, Iāll tune in. Besides that, Iām probably missing remaster show: the remaster.
