@N1ghtW1ng Sell it on eBay?
PS Just had a quick look and the bundle listings here in the UK are still going for sensible prices so that seems like a good option.
That's actually a good idea. There's no local version of eBay here, but there an equivalent site.
I'll check it out to see the prices for a PS4 Pro and see if it's worth selling on there.
@N1ghtW1ng I'd have sold my Pro a while back but I had to keep it hooked up in order to watch 3D Blu-rays via the original PSVR. There's no support for that format via PS5/PSVR2 which is very annoying. Best of luck with your sale!
I also thought that I should have sold mine a while ago as well, but I never anticipated that I would upgrade to the PS5, so I was happy to just have the PS4 Pro.
I don't have any space to keep it as a Blu-ray player and streaming device (annoyingly the PS5 doesn't have the app for a local streaming service called ShowMax, while the PS4 does offer the app).
Thanks for the well wishes. I kept my console and games in near mint condition, so I'm hoping to get a decent sum for it.
@nessisonett Sounds like you got close! Congratulations for making it that far bro, what do you think you will apply for next?
On a side note, I've been leveling up in DeS which I believe you played a while ago. Going for an op melee/mage build, aiming for stats of 50 Vit 25 End 34 Str 50 Magic with Dragon Bone Smasher used with Curse Weapon and a couple of health-drain mitigating items that I learned about through research, or the Crescent Falchion+1 with no buffs, depending on which enemy or boss I am facing at the time, about 1/3 of the way through the game and halfway through completing my build, although obviously it takes a really long time.
N.B I know both builds are really strong (melee/magic) but I wanted the option of using the op DBS build for the few tough bosses and Crescent Falchion+1 for everything else - except the enemies resistant to magic, of course.

@TheBrandedSwordsman@Kidfried I’d definitely say doing 2.5 out of 4 years completely disrupted by the pandemic made me feel less inclined to go for graduate positions, it didn’t feel like I’d had a proper education. If I’m competing with people who did their degree with all the classes going ahead and a project that wasn’t done remotely then I don’t think I’d stand a chance. Just the way these things work.
@Jimmer-jammer Hey man, just checking in with you. What's up? I am still playing DeS but planning ahead to another playthrough of TW3, planning on getting some legendary armor sets and legendary weapons for that game to try to put together a new game plus build that is of course, really strong. What would you recommend based on your knowledge of the game, assuming you've played it?.

For many years I have collected consoles, even various iterations of consoles. I suppose this started back in the 00s when it was actually a really cheap hobby before the market exploded and every thing became super expensive.
Since then, I suppose ive always looked for the best deals on new consoles/waited for discounts. I'll normally buy anything niche from the big 3 outright, whether it's a mini console or a weird handheld because I know most of them become rare and expensive.
So that brings me to my dilemma. I have a few spare machines kicking about and I was going to sell them, but that has instigated a crisis where I am thinking of selling more than just a few of these machines and maybe getting rid of a few doubles/iterations that I have.
I'll list them all here, with a breakdown of where I'm at with it.
Probably sell:
Xbox One - I found this on top of the recycling bin in the rain the other day. I assume it's faulty. I might try and boot it up but I will probably just chuck it on eBay after as Spares & Repair and get like £15-20 for it (probs including fees + postage) (I have an Xbox one X and a Series X anyway)
PS2 Extra Slim - this console peed me off during the pandemic after the ribbon cable chewed up some X files DVDs. I managed to resist throwing it out of the window but now it sits unused. For parts price is about a tenner but working is about £40-50 so Ive ordered a new ribbon cable which I'll install. This leaves me with the dilemma, do I sell it because I can't stand the sight of it and it'll probably suffer the same fault a few years down the line anyway? Or do I keep it because it's an iteration? I do have a phat PS2 that is currently hooked up, no idea how much life it has left in it!
Maybe sell:
A Pikachu N64 with no cables. Goes for about £100. I have a normal n64, I'll never use this one because the footprint is too large to fit into my cabinet. It's cool but should I sell? I can only assume it'll get more expensive with time if I wanted to buy another one down the road when I have more space/money. I doubt my regular n64 will break meaning I have to use this one
A Phat PS3 that doesn't work, I haven't looked at the prices but this thing has sat in my cupboard for like 8 years or something. I think it might be one that plays PS2 games but I'm not sure. I always planned to repair it but I've since acquired a working PS2 playing PS3 and I also have my regular PS3 anyway so?
Won't sell:
Spare Dreamcast, I think I'll definitely keep this as a back up in case the one I have hooked up fails. It has more points of failure than the N64 I mentioned in Maybe Sell which is why I'm reluctant to let go of it.
Xbox 360 broken. This was my 360 that had the RROD which I suspect was caused by a GPU failure because I remember there being artifacts on the screen before it died. I always intended to repair it and may yet still do so, I think the complexity of the repair has put me off a bit but I'd still like to have a go one day. Plus I don't want to get rid because it's my 360 that I bought new, not a machine that I bought or acquired secondhand. I think it still has the Blades OS on it as well.
Master System 2, it doesn't get much use because it only has an RF output and this iteration can't play the cards, only the cartridges. I do have a Master System Converter for the Mega Drive 1 which makes this unit redundant in my set up but it is an actual console and not a "double" or an "iteration"
So what do people think, I am just looking for opinions on my dilemma, not so much help. Just a few a opinions on what I should do with the different systems I have that fall into the above categories. Should I sell everything in Probably Sell? Should I keep either or both of the Maybe Sell items? Or should I just get rid of the lot and stop umming and ahhing about decluttering and be on my way to a less material lifestyle.
Odd one, have an 80GB PS3, two USB ports so surely shouldn’t work with PS2 discs. Stuck Lego Star Wars 2 in there out of curiosity, it whirs and says there’s a PS2 disc inside and lets me boot it. It was just stuck on a black screen after that and didn’t even let me turn it off so flicked the power switch instead for a hard reboot. Now there’s the possibility that the disc just doesn’t work cause scratches and dust, but how is this possible? The emulation stuff is surely long gone, the console’s updated enough that it mentions the Vita.
@LN78 See that’s a slim, whereas mine is a fat one, so I dunno. I’m tempted to say that it’s just a quirk of having CFW installed but I’m not sure, I’m fairly certain it uses two different lasers to read PS3 and PS2 games and it recognises it as a PS2 game so surely must have that laser? It’s stumped me.
@LN78 Yeah, the reasonable explanation is that it’s the CFW accessing the PS2 emulator that’s used to play PS2 Classics but I’m still not entirely sure how it’s recognising the disc if it lacks the laser. What’s even more incredible is that I checked it out inside Multiman, the file manager in CFW, and it tells you the name of the game, which means it actually fully recognised the disc. The PS3 really does make no sense to be fair 😂
@AgentCooper 90 days after 10+ years in the cupboard! Seems a bit rash! 😂 thanks though.
I think I'm Gona fix/sell the PS2, sell the Xbox One and PS3. I am unsure about the Pikachu N64 still. It's Pikachu for goodness sake haha. Maybe I'll list it at a ridiculously high price as a form of self sabotage
I wasn't having any luck on gumtree, so my wife suggested putting up my ad as a WhatsApp status on her WhatsApp (she's a teacher so she has the contact details of a lot of current and former parents).
After a few days, one of my wife's colleagues enquired about the PS4 Pro for her 20 year old son, and within a week, I sold the bundle to her son.
I'm glad my PS4 Pro bundle ended up with him, as the games I sold with the console were all meant for an older gamer (Resident Evil 2 Remake, Hitman 2, Dishonored 1 and Doom to name a few).
I had 2 other enquiries, but in both cases, the parent's child was under the age of 9, and it didn't feel ethical to sell it to them as those kids wouldn't really be able to enjoy it (I think Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was the only kid-friendly game I included with the bundle)
It was a bit hard letting it go, since it's the third console that I've purchased myself, but there was no point leaving lying around.
I did pay my wife a Finder's Fee of 20%, as I doubt I would have sold it without her assistance.
Anyone else on here use Virgin Media broadband and suddenly having problems with this site? Using my laptop, I suddenly got a page come up when trying to view this site saying Virgin Media has classed this site unsafe.
I was wondering why/how on earth is VM interfering with my edge browser when I have McAfee anti-virus. Did a bit of checking and seems like a new feature of their broadband (also selling anti-virus now) so I turned it off.
@BearsEatBeets I have Virgin Media but not experienced any of those issues. But I only access the site from my mobile or tablet, and I don't belive I have enabled any of their anti virus features.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

It’s Election Day in Poland and I just voted. Attendance in my neighborhood seems good (but then again it usually is).
There’s also a so called referendum held together with the election and I’m pleased to report everyone I saw refused to take part in that one (which is good because it’s nothing but a propaganda piece by the current government)
Edit: as exit polls results are published, I'm slightly optimistic about the future of the country for the first time in 8 years. Highest recorded attendance ever in an election in Poland too.
