I'm doing well, thanks mate. Yes, really into the Warhammer at the moment, it's been great for me. Found it's excellent for the mental health, although admittedly not a cheap hobby.

Still play a bit of playstation here and there. Played through Armored Core 6 a couple of times, always been a big fan of that series.

How about you? Have you been doing ok?

@LieutenantFatman well as long as it keeps you ticking over! A few of my mates do it, well the collecting and painting at least, but I think they are doing alright for money so they can at least!

Yeah I'm well enough thanks! I took up swimming recently which has been good for the ol' mental health. It's good to relax, have some structure and also expel some physical energy. I've been going at least 3 times a week

Yes, I spend quite a bit of my free time painting miniatures at the moment. It's probably the best part of the hobby in terms of mental health. You can pop some music or a podcast on in the background and the hours just fly by as you slowly create your masterpiece. It's very rewarding and just demands so much of your attention, like rock climbing. Just a perfect escape from real world troubles.

Video games as you say, you definitely get fantastic value for money with a lot of games. I've just found personally, it doesn't quite give me what I need when under a lot of stress. But despite that, I'll always be a huge fan of video games.

I think stats actually suggest that more people simply paint and don't play the game itself. But as I said to Kidfried, in some ways, that can be the best part of it, so it makes sense.

Nice one on the swimming, definitely one of the best forms of exercise. I did some when I broke my foot a few years back and it really sped up recovery. Three times a week sounds perfect.

Younger brother had school picture day… except they apparently now just take separate photos and photoshop them into one big collage instead of lining them up in rows like a normal school. This has led to the same boy appearing twice in the photo.

Does the PS5 still automatically update games installed in the console like the PS4 does when in standby mode?

@S1ayeR74 Yes, it will auto-update. Although I believe it has an option to turn auto-updates on and off, if I’m not mistaken. And the auto-updates are limited to those games which are showing on the cross media bar.

Some people dislike that feature, but it’s probably smart that only the games which were recently played or recently loaded will be updated automatically.

@Th3solution Thanks, bit like Xbox where it'll only update your currently played game. Hmm faster internet is the best solution still I guess, download the multi gig patches quicker.

Sky broadband down nationwide, change the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and it’ll work. Always the first thing to try whenever it goes down like that, Sky are garbage.

To tide me over till I get my PS5, I have setup my launch PS4, a couple of years ago I stripped it down and replaced the thermal pads and paste and had to replace a broken cable. Still works fine. Been playing the demo of GOW Ragnarok and I'm shocked at how well it runs in the system! I also have a Switch Lite to ride me over too.
I have Spider-Man in it which I never played really too so may give it a go. I want to play Ragnarok but in PS5.

My Series X is now on eBay, I hope the optional disk version of the PS5 will be on sale by Christmas but I doubt it. I really like the clean look of the all digital PS5, but I need to get the one with the disk drive lol.

Currently I still keep my eyes on some Wii U games on sale from my country Indonesia so I really hope those games are still available until my salary day and I can get them all.

@nessisonett Hey man. Hope you are well. I just remembered the last time I checked in with you, you were in the final year of a computer science(?) degree. Are you working in that field now or have you gone on to further study?

@TheBrandedSwordsman Ahh, I graduated (somehow) even with post-pandemic blues and have been on the job hunt for a while now. I knew that the core computing field just wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life by the end of the degree so it was more a thing of where to go from there. Got to the 4th round of interviews for what I can only describe as one of this site’s competitors and then was quite literally ghosted, never even received an email to say that I’d been unsuccessful. Doing a bit of good old fashioned wallowing after that one 😂

I've recently been fortunate enough to have upgraded to a PS5. What I'm struggling with is selling my PS4 Pro.

I've tried listing it on gumtree where I live, but I've had nothing but scammers contacting me. They're so transparent; offering more than the listed price, asking for pictures (when the gumtree ad has 4 pictures already), asking if a courier pickup is acceptable and not even asking any questions about the model, condition or games bundled with the console.

There were so many red flags using gumtree, I felt like a comrade at a parade in the USSR.

I deleted my ad on gumtree last week, and since I'll probably have the same experience on the facebook Marketplace, I'm not going to try and sell it on that platform.

I just didn't expect it to be so difficult to sell it, but I think it's a buyer's market for last-gen consoles.

@N1ghtW1ng If you're not in need of the cash I'd be tempted to trade it to GAME or CEX for store credit, cuts out all the stress of supposed buyers and you get a nice amount of credit for future games

I did think of doing this, but in the country that I'm living in, there isn't actually any gaming stores that do console trade-ins that I know of.

If I take it to a pawn store, I'll get such a low offer on a bundle that consists of the console, V2 DS4 controller, official charging dock and 10 games, that I'd rather keep it instead.
