I'm so much of a party person that I'm going to a birthday party on Saturday and I'm already trying to figure out how early I can get out of there without offending anyone too much

@Keith_Zissou Don't get me wrong - I'm actually looking forward to seeing some people I haven't seen in a year or two. A couple hours and drinks is enough though

@Keith_Zissou @Voltan I’m right there with you. My favorite aspect of pandemic lifestyle is not having to go to parties, gatherings, meetings, and group get-togethers. My second favorite aspect is not having to shake hands. My third favorite aspect is being able to wear a mask instead of shaving, or if I have a pimple I want to hide. 😂

@Th3solution I kinda forget shaving is a thing people do (daily in many cases)

PlayStation UK is easily the best PlayStation social media account (the Australian one is number 2)

@Th3solution What have you got planned for the weekend? I've got a practice jazz jam and maybe a trip to the Tate Modern with an old school friend to grab a beer at the Gallery Bar on the cards.

@TheBrandedSwordsman Nothing special over here. I need to do some chores and errands I’ve been putting off, like car maintenance and shopping. So boring in that regard. Likely will mix in some games of course and maybe movies. Not sure if I’m ready to brave a theater but there’s some shows in TV I’ll probably spend time with. I’ll catch up on sleep as well. And I might end up peeking in on the opening weekend for the NFL, but I’m not sure how excited I actually am for it but it’s part of the Zeitgeist in the US so I might as well play along.

@Th3solution Hope you don’t mind but I moved it here, as we were going a ways off the whole trophy-thing.

I did try Heavy Rain at a mates house back when that released and I seem to recall that being a bit more involved than what I’ve experienced of the Telltale games so far. I quite like what I played of it too… I vaguely remember ‘hitting my kid with a plastic sword’ and thinking it was hilarious 🤣. I was obviously a bit younger back then 😅.

Yeah I will try D:BH at some point but I’ve got The Division 2 and Everybody’s Golf currently on the go (along with Batman: Telltale) and I’m ‘scheduled’ to finally get back to the Metal Gear Solid series this month with Metal Gear Solid 2. On top of all that, I just picked up the two South Park games and quite fancy starting the first one of those for some reason (I mean, I’m pretty sure that they’re turn-based, which I never connect with… but I do love South Park).

Anyway, sorry for waffling on 😉

@colonelkilgore That’s a promising sign that you had a favorable first impression of Heavy Rain. It’s a great mystery game and although it’s aged a bit, I think you’ll find it still ahead of curve when compared to Telltale.

I’ve got MGS2 in my backlog too. I’ve been meaning to play it for a while as I’m not sure I gave it much attention in the past and I think it’s actually more culturally accurate in today’s world, amazingly. If I can get around to it we can compare notes.

From time to time I think about Everybody’s Golf. Maybe one day.

@Th3solution I’ll definitely let you know how I find MGS2 when I start it in the coming weeks… I mean, I’m expecting to love it once I start it but not ‘feeling’ it right now.

Everybody’s Golf is fun… I personally prefer the old Tiger Woods system of using the analogue-stick to perform the golf-swing than EG’s hitting ‘x’ at the appropriate time on a slider-gauge… but I still quite enjoy it.

@colonelkilgore The South Park games are great fun. The second one is far superior for combat though and I preferred the Marvel spoof to the Lord of the Rings spoof of the first game. But the jokes from the first game are much more from the era of when I used to regularly watch it.

Platinums are slightly tricky from what I remember, especially the sequel as you’ll have to play it through twice as two trophies can’t be got with the same character (I’m keeping it purposefully vague).

@Thrillho What do you reckon about the fifth test in the series against India either being forfeited by India due to a positive covid test or rescheduled for next year? It's unclear which is going to happen at the moment.

@Thrillho sounds cool, I remember an episode or two where the gang role-played as LotR and Superheroes… I’ll probably play them in order but I too like the sound of the Marvel-spoof one more if I’m honest.

This US Open women’s final is one of the best matches I’ve ever seen. Both players have been crazy impressive and they’re both teenagers!
