@JechtUltima it probably has nothing to do with this but… the fact that ‘most’ gamers incorrectly refer to it as ‘x’ has the ironic effect of making it the only button that appears on all three of the Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo game controllers (albeit in different positions on all three).
Thanks guys! Day 1 was today. I almost didn’t make it as I caught Covid and had to isolate up to last night at 11:59. So it was a mad rush to the start not even knowing if I could get in as the NHS app hadn’t updated to give me a covid pass. Off the back of 3 rounds of antibiotics to shift a throat infection I am not in super shape.
It was a really hard day, going to slow it down tomorrow and drink more water. As if I am still going to be doing this next Saturday 🙈🙈🙈
@kyleforrester87 Oof, that's not ideal prep! Hopefully today was a good judge for how your fitness is doing though. Nice views of St Michael on the Mount from your pics too (I'm not stalking you, honest)
@Thrillho Wasn't great for us in the cricket yesterday was it? India appear to be racing away into the lead, I hope today will be better, and there's a batting collapse for us to take advantage of. Allegedly the ground was quite good for batting yesterday, might be different today.
@TheBrandedSwordsman Yeah, it was about as bad a day as possible for England really. I don't fancy England to win if the total is over 250.
India can bat all day again today if they want. If they're still not all out, it'll be interesting to see if/when they declare as England will undoubtedly aim for the draw, even if they have over a day to bat.
But India's middle order is just as fragile as ours so I won't be putting any money on a result for either team!
@Thrillho I think you were right with (initially) calling a loss for England as that's pretty much what's just happened, I didn't think that Malan, Pope, and Ali did their job well enough as middle order batsmen and now we can only hope to draw the series
@TheBrandedSwordsman I wasn’t surprised by the outcome really but it’s the hope that kills you.
England seemed like they didn’t know if they were going for it from the start but were going to play normally and see where they were at lunch. Sadly, Burns and Hameed weren’t scoring too quickly so never got us into a better position than we started.
The run out for Malan kind of summed up the day really. There was some good bowling from India but England just fell apart again.
Three certainties in life; death, taxes, and England batting collapses.
@JohnnyShoulder Thanks! Definitely yeah, the first time properly out. Just to the pub and a restaurant but nice to be having a sort of normal day for once 😂
@nessisonett Happy birthday! Enjoy the trip to the pub. I remember going for the first time earlier this year and my god it felt amazing to be able too again.
@kyleforrester87 well done mate, I hope you are still going strong!! One of my friends who lives in Cornwall posted a video of some cyclists the other day, I did wonder if you were among them!!
@nessisonett Mine started off as one or two drinks and a meal to watch a football match on the opening day of the Premier league, ended up being in a nightclub until 3 in morning! 😂
