Well my triple captain paid off!

Reminder that the chips reset in Gameweek 20 which is 3 gameweeks away.

I've got Triple Captain, Bench Boost and Free Hit to use so will have to use one each for of the remaining weeks. I've done the former for this week but might leave the latter all together.

That is so typical! I bench Woltemade and he gets 2 goals in just the first half. I bet when I use my bench boost next week he does nothing.

I managed to squeeze all my chips in these last 3 gameweeks. My triple captain did okay but my 'free hit' played out poorly. I've got my bench boost going this gameweek and my 3 outfield subs have a combined score of 4! (Plus one of my starting 11 hasn't played). It's not looking good.

I only just noticed that the cup competitions had started and I got knocked out of all 3 of them last gameweek when I used my 'free hit'.

@BearsEatBeets none of my chips have worked out at all this season, hoping for more luck with them in the second half.
Its probably a blessing for you that Cash was suspended yesterday given the scoreline 😂

@MatthewJP I hadn't even noticed that, so he would have got zero anyway at best. I pondered spending 4 points to swap him out but I feel that rarely works out (although I have done just that for the next gameweek). Hopefully Vicario gets a clean sheet and maybe a penalty save to really help.

Seeing as Man City were playing one of the bottom teams I took a punt and played my second 'Triple Captain' chip on Haaland.
Just seen he is starting on the bench.

@BearsEatBeets Ah man that sucks, he is my captain too and I was tempted by the triple captain chip but was put off by his form. I hope he doesn't come on now so at least my vice captain could bag some decent points, appreciate you wouldn't want that, he could come on a get a brace 🤞

@Mostik He's bound to come on for 10 minutes and get 1 point. Him staying off would be much more preferable.

Silly me forgot to swap my captain after Arsenal's 2 match gameweek. Thrown away some points there. At least one of my good scoring subs is actually going to swap in for a change.

Okay, this is weird. I was certain after my last comment I made sure to switch my captain/vice-captain there and then and chose to save my transfer this time. I just checked it to also see what the televised games are this weekend and it has Gabriel still as captain! I know you have to save any changes so something odd is going on. I'm probably going to double check a few times before the next deadline.

@BearsEatBeets I'm going to guess you'd have captained haaland, who isn't playing anyway so probably no great loss this week?

@MatthewJP yeah, who knows, maybe it will turn out lucky this time unlike last week. It's just bizarre as I was adamant I had switched it this time.

Our league is tightening up nicely isn't it, pretty much everyone can catch at least someone else
