@Th3solution I'm in the middle of refurbishing and upgrading my AV/games room (a project which has predictably gone overdue and overbudget) so I haven't been playing or watching much of anything for the past few weeks. I'll be back to posting regularly once everything is plugged in and wired up. Thanks for the shout out!

@LN78 Awesome! Glad to hear it.

@Th3solution I tried it, didn't really like it, went back to Dark Souls Remastered. Dark Souls 3 appears to be a better game than Elden Ring though, did you decide if you'll try that one in the end?

@Th3solution Thanks for doing this; I keep having the thought to tag certain members, and then either forget by the time I've booted up my computer, or chicken out for reasons various.

@RogerRoger As Push Square grows, it’s harder to keep up with everyone, but from time to time I notice when regulars disappear for a while. I usually do the same as you, where I forget or just figure I’ll not risk annoying other users with APB outreaches. But the presence of this thread made it sensical to post a couple inquiries when I was musing yesterday. I think actually the kicker was when you and I were talking Bond films and Lenny wasn’t around to chime in.

The irony is that this thread was started by @lolwhatno and now he’s been ‘lost’ for a few weeks. Some users will go quiet for weeks at a time, which is fine - I do it sometimes too when life gets busy. But lol was quite active, so I do wonder if he’s okay. There a good chance his studies have him tied up, I reckon.

@TheBrandedSwordsman I’ll move the ER discussion over to the other thread, but no - I haven’t started it yet. I will eventually, but probably will do DS3 first.

Anyways, it’s good to hear from you and I hope all is well on your end!

@Th3solution The thing I respect most about @lolwhatno is his willingness to stick his neck out, to ask questions and engage in some potentially controversial topics that others would normally avoid. Even when he disagrees with something or simply can't understand it, he writes pretty fairly, and his posts never seemed to come from a place of malice. The problem is that, more than once, this innocent curiosity got him a little ganged up on (noted without judgement) so I'm hoping that you're right, and that he's just become busy with his studies and life choices. I'd hate it if he didn't feel welcome anymore.

@lolwhatno is unabashedly weird (like most of us), in a good way (like most of us), and I respect them for it!

@RogerRoger We’re all a result of our environment. So while they did come out with some fairly unsavoury comments, it seemed to be less coming from a place of hate and more coming from what’s been instilled in them from a young age. We only really grow by being open and having been exposed to other viewpoints. In many ways, the internet has helped massively in that sense.

@RogerRoger Agreed. For as much as I complain about the internet and social media, I very much appreciate the peek into different cultures, opinions, ideas, and backgrounds that this virtual international world allows. Yes, the web is a cesspool of toxicity at times, but my horizons have been opened exponentially over the last few years on account of it - which is, I think, overall a good thing. Some of lol’s customary values and point-of-view are among those that are less commonly represented in my circle.

Edit: basically what @nessisonett said 😅

I seem to recall @lolwhatno mention that they would give console to younger sibling when uni started so maybe that happened already. Or maybe the uni choice became serious and gaming took a back seat. Don't know.
I miss them too and the absolutely random discussions/debates I would have to go back pages to figure out how they got to the stage where I found them. Hope they're doing ok whatever it is.

lolwhatno Has on occasion written some rather objectionable things, such as when discussing a certain country's treatment of gay people. Honestly, their viewpoints on such topics should be challenged.

@lolwhatno Hey buddy! Good to see you’re alright and didn’t fall off the face of earth. It sounds like school is really taking it to you. It’ll all be worth it, so hang in there! But yes, I often wish I could go back to earlier times when life was simpler and parents provided everything for me and I had very few responsibilities. High School was so easy. I hate how cringey it sounds, but in the vernacular of the day, ‘adulting is hard.’ 😅

As for me, I’m well. Similar to you, I’ve been super busy, so my gaming and my engagement here has slowed some. Nevertheless, things are ok; I guess I can’t complain. Thanks for asking!

@lolwhatno nice to see your still around. Same to you. Keep up the good work (saw your post in the other thread).
