I knew it was one of 2 franchises from the first pic but went with the wrong one. Strangely it has given me the yellow for the correct franchise with 3 yet 2 was also a guess from the same franchise. Yes it took me 3 attempts to get the right one, none of the pics felt specific enough.
@DemonStar89 That would make sense but my second guess was the sequel to my third guess which was yellow, and the film that came before the correct answer. So to take your example I guessed Spiderman 2 (red), Spiderman (yellow) then Spiderman 3 (correct). Probably just a minor error in this case.

Like everybody else, I nailed #689 (as it's true, some things are just that iconic) but was then surprised to be able to land a one-two punch the next day!
Would have been able to make it a clean three-in-a-row an' all, had #691 not been my least-favourite entry in its series. That took me far longer to guess than it should have.
Oh well. Guess it's back to the total wipeouts!

Haven't seen it. Seeing the actors didn't help. I don't know if I've even heard of this one either.
I'm wondering if this is a symptom of streaming services these days. I've only ever had Netflix so there are going to be lots of films that never come across my desk as it were. I have ad blockers and don't use social media and don't watch television so it's likely there are going to be hundreds of titles I'm not even aware of.

@DemonStar89 how you got the franchise from the first pic I have no idea, I had no clue what I was looking at. Even after immediately recognising the second pic, I'm not sure what it is π.

@BearsEatBeets it was the texture and colour grading that sparked the memory for me. I've been watching a lot of videos about body horror films and franchises like Hellraiser and The Thing, with a common thread of some of the recognisable names in the industry from the last several decades, such as Ridley Scott, Rob Bottin, John Carpenter and the like, so it's fresh in my mind, particularly the contrast between flesh and machine that I find is invoked in that first image. At least I find it is invoked because the material pictured is so ambigious. Is it landscape? Flesh? Goo? Metallic?
