Defeated Godrick and Radahn this morning - next onto obtaining the Mimic Tear Ashes and doing some more farming to level up Mind when I play again.
@Jimmer-jammer I did think that Stormveil Castle was actually quite reminiscent of the Gates of Boletaria level from Demon's Souls, rather than resembling a level out of Dark Souls.
Edit: Just learned the required stats for Mimic Tear, looks like I won't have to level up after all! No more farming!
Edit II: Got the Mimic Tear Ashes this afternoon, and I have to say that "going underground" was quite the experience!

@Jimmer-jammer Where will my adventure take me next? To the same place it takes me every time, jimmy, TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! (of The Lands Between) 🤣
Haha, if you didn't get that reference and are presumably not of a similar generation to myself, here's a bit of background media to put that paraphrased saying into context:
All joking aside, however, I'm planning to storm the Royal Capital (of Leyndell) next, in terms of my plans for the immediate future with the game.
Edit: Got my Mimic Tear up to +2 now, so theoretically he has more health than even my character now! Great stuff!

Defeated the Draconic Tree Sentinel this morning, Entered Leyndell. That boss was quite the toughie.
Edit: Also defeated Godfrey, Golden Shade and Morgott yesterday. Morgott was the first boss where I felt like, "hey, this is it, I'm really playing Dark Souls again!" got a proper 'FromSoft' feeling from that boss.
Edit II: Reached Mountaintops of the Giants, got my Greatsword up to +18.

Just beat Ys X: Nordics and was having a hard time trying to decide what to play next. There's several new releases that I thought about getting, but in the end I went with Soul Hackers 2 from my backlog. I just recently beat Metaphor: ReFantazio, so I'm hoping that it's different enough that I don't get burnt out.
Definitely hit a roadblock with Fire Giant in Elden Ring. Gonna upgrade my summon some more and hopefully that'll be enough to topple the big bully.
I got him down to about half-health with my +3 Mimic Tear, but I've decided today's a day for listening to jazz and hip hop and reading Chekhov, so I'll take a break and come back to him, hopefully refreshed, tomorrow.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN For what its worth, definitely work to upgrade your Mimic Tear - I think you should be able to comfortably get to +6 / +7 if you research a guide as to where to get the upgrade materials. By Fire Giant, I think you should have access to most/all the material locations. Likewise - do the same approach for your main weapon to increase damage
Well, I got the platinum trophy for Dragon Age: The Veilguard last night and absolutely loved my time with it. I was then planning on playing Stalker 2 on my Xbox Series X, but I woke up with a desire to play Dragon Quest 3 Remake so I guess I’ll be playing that on my PS5.

Got to the penultimate stage of crafting my build. Got my Mimic Tear up to +7 and my Heavy Greatsword up to +21, now just have to get it up to +25 after hopefully beating Fire Giant and Godskin Duo and the build will be complete!

I booted up Dragon Age Origins for the very first time, thanks to Xbox Series X and Game Pass. So far, I’m very impressed with how rich in lore the game is right out of the gate, and the amount of animations on screen via cutscenes and whatnot. The writing has been excellent so far, too. I can understand why original fans were disappointed in Veilguard (although I enjoyed it immensely).
@CJD87 I upgraded my gear, following your suggestion, and bested Fire Giant this morning. Thankyou for your helpful words.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN No worries mate, and well done! Funnily enough on my first playthrough I found Fire Giant to be a major roadblock. I breezed Malenia, but FG really had me in trouble. (Final boss also, but FG was my worst).
Elden Ring is great that it allows you a lot more creative licence in how you choose to play, and there is always opportunity to level up (gear as well as character stats) plus summon other players.

@JohnnyShoulder oh yeah, he's a piece of pi$$ 😂 it's funny reading all of the other experiences of bosses, especially as nearly any boss that people found challenging I beat in one attempt, or in the case of Malenia, two goes 😅 (definitely not because of any inherent skill, mind)
I think I must have accidentally created the most cheesy boss-melting build without realising just how much it was trivialising some elements of the game. And it all revolved around a great sword, a ridiculously powerful 'opening gambit' magic dagger, and a seal for regular magic. No game is locking me into one playstyle if it lets me be a warrior, rogue and sorcerer all in one go with no downsides 😅
I mean, I still spent 200 hours by the end, with a lot of dying, a lot of exploration and a lot of helping others to get my money's worth out of all the boss fights via replaying them, but most of the real challenges were the random enemies rather than the major ones you always hear about people's struggles with
Fire Giant, was maybe more situational as my good pottery based buddy Alexander just aggroed him while I missed a bunch of ranged attacks trying to work out what to do, realised nothing was connecting, then went to work on the ankles and moved behind rock or tree cover during the bigger attacks that could flatten or burn you. I didn't really know what I was doing half the fight, and by the time I'd figured out a plan beyond just hacking his ankles he was already in the second phase and it was easy to finish the fight with a few pokes to the eye as Alexander took care of everything else because he is simply a legend who knows no equal (well, at that point, anyway 😬)
Field Bosses like the big golden lightning horsey *****, I assume brother of the first sentry, however, they literally melted in about 40 seconds because of build insanity and little to no skill 😅
Mohg, Malenia, Moon Gurrl, Golden Balls, Slippery Snake, Godskinheads, the Lion King, all those were just complete melts and should be ashamed at their lack of challenge 😭😂
