@colonelkilgore Charming little game and very striking, curious to see what they are working on next. Are you going to use the trick for the hardcore/master difficulty trophy or try it truthfully?
@BearsEatBeets I’m gonna try and glitch it in all honesty mate… though there does seem some inconsistency in how effective the glitch can be. If it doesn’t work I’ll just have to bite down on the mouthguard and take the pain that is master difficulty I suppose.
@colonelkilgore Glad you’re enjoying Kena: BoS. It is a solid game and falls just shy of top-tier greatness. The cutesy art style isn’t quite my forte either, but there some deep gameplay and storytelling to counter the silliness of collecting hats for your Rot. I really think Ember Lab is a studio to look forward to, this being their first real game.

@Th3solution yeah I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for whatever it is they produce next. As far as first games go… it’s pretty much “up there” (wherever “there” is) from what I’ve seen so far.
@colonelkilgore Worry ye not the glitch will work, be sure to take a couple of saves at both points just in case ng+ overwrites the save and don't rely on auto saves as the guide says....just use your manual saves.
@CaptD well I should be finding out by the weekend, as I’ll have a good blast on it tomorrow… and I’ll have Thursday and Friday evening to tie any loose ends up 👍
@JohnnyShoulder@BearsEatBeets@Th3solution@CaptDKena is actually turning out better than I’d expected. I think I’d actually be closer to a 9 than an 8 if I had to rate it out of 10 right now… some nice environmental puzzles, some really nice tools/skills to use and some of the boss fights are just top tier fair play.
Think I’m pretty close to the end now, done the paths of the warrior and the mask maker, so one more “path” and then onto the end boss from what I gather from the trophy list. Think I might take a time out before confronting the end boss to mop up any missing collectibles etc.
I’d echo anyone that’s raised this previously, Sony should really pull out all of the stops to buy these guys!
@colonelkilgore Whoooh, two for two. 😜
In other news, I see there was a remnant live stream tonight plus, this might seem a bit left field but there was a Breakpoint no hud video on gamespot which you might find interesting. Gamespot seemed to have started putting effort into their videos again which is good to see, perhaps they all got an inflation busting pay rise.
@colonelkilgore Good to hear. Gameplay is rock solid. Visuals are crisp, colorful, and unique. I just wish the story was a little better realized. It took a while to get going and still felt somewhat lacking, even though it picks up and makes more sense towards the end.

@CaptD two for two indeed… I’ll have to start repaying the favour 😄.
That’s mad that you brought up Remnant 2, I was only thinking about it this evening. I’d actually be up for playing it at release if you were on board. No pressure though, I’d hang fire 👍
@Th3solution yeah I get you on the narrative… it is pretty bare bones (which on the whole is fine by me tbh). As you say though, the gameplay is excellent. Honestly some of the best boss battles that I’ve had for a while!
Deep into Jedi Survivor... Absolutely love the game and its level design but on top of performance issues last night was one of my buggiest experiences in gaming in a looooong time.
First, the resume activity (which is the default way to start the game from the home screen) would just load into a black screen and stay there. Luckily starting the game "normally" and loading from the menu fixed it.
Then, I encountered a progression breaking bug on my way to Pilgrim's Sanctuary (reloading last save and doing the platforming section again fixed it).
Then I encountered another progression breaking bug on my way out of Pilgrim's Sanctuary.
Luckily this was also fixed by reloading but all this and a random crash on top of it, all in one day - not great.
I do think it's a testament to how good the game is otherwise that none of it affects my desire to get back to it as soon as I can
@Voltan You can just start games normally without hitting Resume Activity. Just clicking on the game's tile will load the game up normally, which is technically the default way. You have to physically move to the Resume Activity button, so I'm a bit confused by that statement.
Not trying to call you dumb or anything. Just pointing out that it's not the default way to load a game. If I ever do play both Jedi games, I'll be glad to have waited so long.

@KilloWertz I'll check again when I'm home but I might've been pressing down on the home screen to get to the resume button and it's become so automatic that I no longer remember doing it
Either way it was the fastest way to get back to playing and it became broken for me and got me scared that my save could be corrupted or something. Luckily that was not the case.
@Voltan I agree with @KilloWertz This is the way I launch games and I never use Resume activity due to the problems I've read about it (mainly related to progression and trophy tracking).
@Voltan I always use quick resume from the PS5 home page too, as I find it a bit quicker seeing as some games skip the developer icons and what not. I don't recall experiencing any issues when using it either. Not to dismiss anyone that has though.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder@Voltan Same, I've used that Resume option a lot and never had any problems with it or any trophies. I guess I must have been lucky though if there are reported issues so perhaps I should change my habits before it's too late.
