Returnal is indeed great, still my favorite implementation.
In recent memory Ghostwire Tokyo was also pretty good in that regard.

@Th3solution @Voltan Yeah Returnal has my fave use of Dual Sense too and also 3D Audio.

I'm currently playing that as well, seems like I have been doing for an age. Quite like it but can't seem to manage more than an hour or so at any time. How far are you into the game?

@Kidfried
Maybe around two thirds to three quarters I think (save game says @70% but I don't know if that just counts the main game or also includes chests/secrets etc.) - According to the rarely reliable counter on the profile it says around 11 hours, though I feel like it should be higher.

I honestly don't know. I like it but don't love it. I want to enjoy it more than I actually do. The combat, exploration and story are all done well but it just doesn't click with me for reasons I'm not fully sure about. Think I'd currently give it a solid 6 out of 10 but am more looking forward to finishing it than I am playing it.

@RogerRoger It weird how we all have different limits in these things. I'm over 100 hours in Horizon Forbidden West and not felt any ill effects due to any of DualSense implementation.

@Kidfried @sorteddan Fallen Order was the first thing I played on my PS5 and that was just the PS4 version at higher frame rate and I had no problems with it at all.

I mean some of that may have been the noticeable changes swapping between consoles as I’d played most of it on PS4 but it does sound like they made a real mess of the upgraded version.

@RogerRoger Cool congratulations. Spider-man Miles Morales have been a game that have been on my mind since I finished the original Spideman game last year. Have since then been so busy with ohter games that I have not yet have had time to play it.

Started playing Octopath Traveler 2 tonight. I was a bit hesitant to start as the first one ultimately bummed me out quite badly with the shoddy writing but 2 hours in to Throné’s story and I either got lucky with picking a pretty great starter character, or I am in for a much better time overall!

@kyleforrester87 Judging by the couple of reviews I've seen for the game, the game is definitely better than the first one, so it's the latter at least. I can't comment on the characters as I'm waiting to buy the game since I have plenty of other stuff to play and Square Enix games always drop in price nicely, but I do look forward to playing it.

@kyleforrester87 It’s on my wish list for sure as it’s been ages since I played such a game and Jason Schreier has been banging on about how much he loved it on Twitter too. I’m not sure I’ve seen a bad review for it either.

Playing slightly dated games but been about a month into playing them and they are amazing.

Spider-Man: Remastered
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (which in my eyes is a masterpiece, from the music, the fight mechanics, the graphics, the story, it may be a near perfect game. the only thing that is a slight let down in my opinion is that its not open world but in saying that Survivor drops next month!)

I made a start on Deaths Door and it is exactly the game I needed to be playing at the moment. It's wonderful. Only maybe 3-4 hours in and save game counter says @25% - just beat the Granny and got my first giant soul. I love the exploration, the simplicity of the gameplay/controls and the degree of challenge in the combat. The graphical aesthetic, haunting melodies and dry, dark humour is really ticking a lot of boxes for me right now.
Not gonna have a load of gaming time this week but already looking forward to spending another hour or so on it tomorrow.

@sorteddan it’s a wonderful game but with one of the worst maps of all time.

A great mix of puzzles, platforming, and combat. I hope you know about only using the umbrella if you’re after the platinum too!

It also has a complete lack of tracking collectibles too which makes finding all the seeds a nightmare (a late game item helps a little but much). Some of the post game stuff is also very cryptic/impossible without a guide.

I hope you do enjoy it though!

@Thrillho
Yeah I was aware but leaving the Umbrella for a second playthrough after I have hopefully already done everything else and better know the lay of the land. Also I'm quite happy to use guides/vids to help me with collectables after I beat the main game.

Thanks for the words of advice though.

Started playing Astro's Playroom. My god this game is perfect! Fun platformer that oozes creativity and has tons of throwbacks to PlayStation history. I'm constantly smiling while playing this game, it's just so good and it's free to boot.

@LtSarge
Exactly how I felt with it. Such a joyful little free game to start your PS5 days with.

@RogerRoger not related but did you ever play the PSP version of Tomb Raider Legends on Vita? Is camera control ok? Did you map the right stick?

Never actually played it and thought it could be a good way to do so…

Same for Anniversary, actually, although I have played that one through on PS2.
