Topic: Screen suddently blink and have a lot of stripes

Hello.

Got a ps5 that i have been played on a
Lot since launch 19 november.
Now it suddently started in the menu to blink and cause a lot of color and stripes that moved all over the screen, it was hard to even manage to find out to browse to restart the console.

This happened right after i turned it off and turned it on again right after. Could that have caused it?

Now it’s restarted and it seems fine so far, this happened in desktop, it was my kid that turned it off and imidiatly turned it on again.

Hard to describe it, but it flashed and had stripes all over in different pattern.

This may be too obvious to be the answer, but the first question a good debugger asks is always “is it plugged in”.

In that light, could it be either a loose HDMI cable or that the HDMI isn’t fully plugged in?

Yes it was the first thing i also wondered, hdmi was connected all way in

Now it happened again, turned it on this morning and now it was green screen with stripes on, dont know if i can add pics here?

What could this be? After a restart it work just fine again

Looks like a TV hdmi handshake issue to me as you can see some sort of TV show in the green bit.

Niko yes i see it now that you mention it, so it probably the tv that have some hdmi issues?

Strange since the first time i got console dashboard pics but with a lot of disturbing in the pics, and we have never experienced a hdmi issue before with this Tv, but what we see in backround on the green is definitly not a ps5 dashboard.

When it happens, have you tried switching away from ps5 hdmi input then back to it instead of restarting ps5? See if that brings a stable picture?

Thank you for the advice. Would try that next time, also going to change to another hdmi port just in case.
