I have no idea what I'll play after Elden Ring. I have a couple of games I've not finished which I can go back to, but it be whatever I feel like playing at the time.

We have schedules and stuff in work, so I like not to do too much of that out side of work. Especially with gaming, that should be fun and I can think of not many worse things than doing something keeping lists of games.

Each to their own though.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

@Th3solution One of my problems with doing the every Resident Evil thing that I forgot to mention when it's actually kinda important is that I started Resident Evil Remake when it was on Plus years ago and I absolutely hated it. I used to love Resident Evil on PS1 but time has not been kind to it, and the Remake was made so close to the original that it hasn't helped.

Well, any schedule I might've been contemplating will need to be abandoned now, as it looks like tidying up LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is gonna take me... [checks watch]... hmm, give or take a couple minutes, I'd guesstimate about three years.

BTW, I got the platinum in Ghost of Tsushima PS5 and now I'm up to Makoto's dungeon on Persona 5 Royal. I feel like that's about... 25% of the way through the game from memory? I don't know. I have Resident Evil 0 downloaded. I feel like I'm on schmedule.

@johncalmc Impressive work on that Ghost of Tsushima platinum there! Part of me regrets not sticking around to give it a shot, but I suppose it'll give me even more incentive to replay it someday.

My only game schedule for 2022 is to finish the two games i am now playing, RE3 and AC Origins. After that i have my eyes on TT Wonderlands and Dying Light 2 for sometime in 2022. Also i know i will get the itch this year to replay and old favorite or two.

I love scheduling. Rarely stick to it, since I'm a natural procrastinator, but it's an enjoyable activity to bring order to chaos all the same.

My predicted schedule for 2022 currently looks like this, although I'll probably be adjusting it based on announcements and whatnot.

April:

  • Finish Banjo-Kazooie (NSO)
  • Finish initial run of Kirby and the Forgotten Land
  • Finish second playthrough (NG+) of Triangle Strategy
  • Play through Ch. 4 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC

May:

  • Complete all optional objectives (within reason) in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
  • Play through Ch. 5 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
  • Start third playthrough (NG++) of Triangle Strategy on hard mode
  • Start playing AI: The Somnium Files

June:

  • Complete hard mode NG++ playthrough of Triangle Strategy
  • Complete AI: The Somnium Files
  • Play through Ch. 6 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC

July:

  • Begin, play through, and complete Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC expansion
  • Play through Ch. 7 of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
  • Start playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

August:

  • Complete The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
  • Complete 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (get platinum trophy)
  • Start playing Splatoon 3

September:

  • Complete single-player content in Splatoon 3
  • Start playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3
  • Start playing Sakura Wars

October:

  • Complete Sakura Wars (get platinum trophy)
  • Continue playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3
  • Begin, play through, and complete first run of Ys Origin

November:

  • Continue playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3
  • Begin, play through, and complete second run of Ys Origin

December:

@Ralizah A chapter every month of Trails in the Sky SC does not fill me with confidence that you’re enjoying it 😂

Plumbing’s just Lego innit. Water Lego.

@nessisonett It's fine. The story is better than in the first game, but the whole affair is profoundly repetitive. Revisit a place from the first game --> Encounter a problem --> zomg new enforcer. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Even if that structure chills out and it adopts a more naturalistic narrative flow, though, it still feels like some ancient PS1 game with tedious combat and annoying dungeons.

All the same, I do intend to persist with it, and start the third game next year.

I'll catch up eventually. NISA is making sure of that.

@colonelkilgore I'll be playing whatever, whenever like the disorganised slacker that I am. Think of me as the Delta House of gaming.

LN78

colonelkilgore

@LN78 that’s probably a far more healthy way to approach it if I’m honest… I just have severe OCD 🍻

@colonelkilgore That's rough, mate. All the best with that itinerary - I'll be rooting for you.

@colonelkilgore You're in for a treat with Dante's Inferno. Criminal how a sequel was never greenlit.

@LN78 appreciate it, cheers buddy.

@The_Moose nice, it does look good from the YouTube reviews that I’ve watched. The only answer to why a sequel was never made - EA I reckon 🤬!

@colonelkilgore I believe us gamers have found the answer to the question which has baffled philosophers and theologians the world over, Why does evil exist? Answer - EA

@KAIRU believe it or not mate, that’s a 40% reduction from 2022 🤣

Fight_Teza_Fight

@colonelkilgore @The_Moose Inciting evil is exactly what they wanted.
The marketing was absolutely insane around this game. They offered a $6.66 discount if you preordered it on 9/9/9.
They had a contest were people were encouraged to take ehmm lustful(?) pictures with EA’s ‘booth babes’.
There were Christian protesters for one of their E3 presentations (I’m guessing 2009), which later turned out to be actors EA hired.
Unbelievably perhaps is that they send actual journalists reviewing the game actual cheques which they could either destroy or cash (being greedy or wasteful). Colin M worked at IGN at the time & saw this happen.
Reckon EA killed off the entire marketing team after that debacle & any chance of a sequel.

Also it was seen as a cheap GoW clone at the time & they had even hired a bunch of GoW devs to work on the game.

OT:
I’ll play along. But I guess I’ll go month to month.

January
Crisis Core done
Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
Mass Effect (1)
