Hey guys, I've been wanting to set up my psvr again, I am unsure of a couple of things tho, currently the ps5 is set up and plays in hdr when I turn it on, i get a little thing pop up on my tv saying 'HDR', my query is, if I set up the vr, when I've finished my vr session will the ps5 games continue to play in hdr even tho its all running through the processor unit or will it not? am I over thinking this? also, can games be played on the vr with the dual sense? I want to play astrobot again but a friend has borrowed my only dualshock during lockdown.

thanks in advance 😊

I'm pretty sure you can play VR games with the DuelSense. I imagine it's the same as playing a regular PS4 game on PS5.

As for the HDR question, I think it depends on what model PSVR you have. If you have an older one then there's no HDR while it's plugged in, but if you have a later model then I think HDR still works while your PSVR is set up.

@Bentley-Ma- I thought that VR games required the DS4’s light bar for most games? So the only games that would work would be like Resi 7 and Wipeout?

I've got the newest version of the vr so that shoukd work, I may try setting it up tomorrow and I shall report back. Thanks a lot for the response 😊

You'll need to use a DS4 controller. I've got a PSVR V1 so to get HDR I bought an HDMI switch box. Input to the switch is from the PS5 HDMI out, one output straight to a TV HDMI and the other to the PSVR box. Output to from the PSVR box goes to a different HDMI input on the TV.

If you've got a PSVR2 you'll be fine for HDR, not sure about 120fps though, if that's a concern.
