New issue added to my list of issues, what an awful console launch this has been!
7. Playing PS5 Spiderman Remastered and did a manual save, as it got to 100% it froze. Screen went black and then console went off. Then tried to restart but PS5 not being recognised on HDMI 4 on tv, switched to HDMI 2 and then PS5 displayed error screen which allowed me to report the issue. After reporting went to dashboard.
Not really a problem, but when I go to my game library it says that some of my games are locked. If I download them then I can still play them perfectly fine, so I'm guessing this is just a glitch. Another problem that isn't a big deal is that sometimes my PS5 games will just randomly switch to their PS4 version on the main screen, so I have to switch back to the PS5 version otherwise I'll accidently start downloading the PS4 version.
Had another problem yesterday.
Decided to install Modern Warfare on my PS5.
It took 8 hours 40 minutes. Yep... That Bloody long.
Went to play it and was greeted with the message.
'This game will not play on the PS5. Uninstall and reinstall the app'.
Not a chance.
No idea what happened but I will play it on the PS4 as usual.
The issues I've had (although I'm sure I'm not alone in some of these)
Crashing back to 'desktop' - Borderlands 3 x 1, Astro's Playworld x 2. Both games when selecting a new level.
Hard crash - Bugsnax. Starting Bugsnax for the first time resulted in a full lock up after selecting new game, the screen showed the colour of the transitional loading screen and I could hear the game running in the background, but the controller was unresponsive and I had to pull the power cable.
PS4 version of Borderlands always tries to install from disc - If I leave the disc of BL3 in the system, it constantly tries to install it and download the patch. No such issues with No Man's Sky
Licences locked - if I add a new account to my PS5, I have to restore my licences.
Returning from rest mode sketchy - If I bring the PS4 out of rest mode, it's really sluggish and unresponsive, so I've disabled that for now.
Borderlands 3 trophies - when i loaded up my game (which was a pain in the dick, cheers Gearbox), it unlocked 3 random trophies from a new BL3 trophy list, but nothing else. That's definitely a Gearbox issue though.
I got my PS5 yesterday and after 30 minutes of playing Call of Duty Cold War, I got a storage error and crashed out of the game to the main menu. I could restart the game.. although another 30-40 minutes later my game froze and my PS5 crashed 2 seconds later. It just shut off. Cant restart it anymore.
I tried to change cables, didnt work
I tried to enter Safe mode, didnt work
The only thing it does do is the beep when you start up, but even the light is not visible.
I contacted PS Support and they gave me a really basic respons to try and discharge the PS5 by pressing the on/off button when the AC is not installed. Didnt work.
Im afraid my SSD or even my motherboard just died? Any people with similar experience (maybe with PS4?)
@Vizjee Havent had that issue, have you switched to another hdmi connection. Also unplug tv from mains and plug back in again as my ps5 regularly messes up the hdmi port it is in and have to power cycle tv.
How did you get through to sony support? What are they doing now for you?

I feel like im the only one with this issue. Cant find any related issues online. I did try more than 1 HDMI port and cable.. same for A/C. No improvements.
My PS5 just gives a single beep and then nothing happens. It gives 3 beeps when I press the eject button. Thats it. I cant get into Safe mode either
Im from The Netherlands so I just called the local number. They send me an email with instructions and I replied with the fact that it didnt work. Expecting another email tomorrow. Hopefully they will replace or repair my PS5, but in Europe we dont get a lot of PS5’s atm.. Sony’s trying to win the battle against Xbox in the US and Australia
If you encounter a situation where there is nothing displayed on your TV when the PS5 console is expected to be outputting a 4K 120Hz signal, or the signal is displayed as 1080p 120Hz, please consider the following:
Does the TV claim to support 4K 120Hz?
Is the TV using its latest firmware?
Are you using the cable included with the PS5 console or an Ultra High-Speed Cable that is rated for 4K 120Hz output?
Is the PS5 console directly connected to the TV by HDMI, or to a receiver or other piece of intermediary equipment that could be affecting the signal?
Is the PS5 console connected to an appropriate HDMI port (2.1) on the TV? Check the TV manual for more information. HDMI 2.1 support may require that you change settings via the TV.
Is the PS5 Screen and Video > Video Output > Resolution set to Auto or 2160p?
Is the PS5 Screen and Video > Video Output > 4K Video Transfer Rate set to Auto?
I had a few crashes last week related to Rest Mode shutdown. I disabled rest mode and it was great up until yesterday. With the unit Shutdown completely I disconnected all cables to move the PS5 and then when I restarted it went through the same Crash issue with database rebuilds and black screen. Since resetting from this it has been fine again.
