PS5 controllers analogue sticks consistently twitching/moving both in games and on home menu whilst controller could be set down or un-used (characters move forward, cursors move upwards, jumping tabs on menu screen etc). Experiencing this issue with both original PS5 controller and newly purchased one. Neither controller has been damaged and only recently started happening. Tried both fixes on PS website and deleting controller profile, nothing works! Anyone experienced anything like this before??

@Downey1991 I dropped my controller pretty hard a couple weeks ago and it still seems to function fine. I’ve had none of those issues you describe. The sticks still function perfectly. The only thing I notice is the haptics and tiggers do make a bit of noise coming out of the controller while playing games that utilize them and I hear the motor clicking off and on when I do things like hit the pause button or bring up the menu. Pretty sure this is normal though, from what I can tell. From what you describe I wonder if yours is a system issue since it happens with two different controllers. I don’t know though. If you have a friend with a PS5 then seeing if you can test his/her controller with your console, or vice versa, would give you that answer. If you don’t know anyone, then maybe you can try your PS4 DualShock 4 controller and see if it works correctly with your PS5

@Downey1991 Have you tried using the controllers wired (you'd need to connect them with the USB cable and make sure the communication method is set to USB in the settings)? Maybe there's some interference in the Bluetooth frequencies.
It does sound like drift but getting it two controllers at the same time seems very unlikely.

I almost smashed my DS against the wall whilst playing Returnal t'ther night - then I realised that they cost a s**t load more than a Kempston Joystick so I didn't.
That would've been a proper controller issue.

Yep I’ve got drift in one and annoying as it is in principle, functionally whilst playing Returnal it hasn’t affected my gameplay, I suck anyway.
