Topic: PlayStation amiibos

Wouldn’t it be cool if Sony decides to make mini figures like Nintendo made for their franchises? I wonder why they haven’t done it yet. Personally I’d like mini figures of sackboy, jak and daxter, astro, sly and Bentley and Murray, Cole McGrath, Nathan drake and maybe even parappa! What kinds of mini figure would you want if Sony decides to make some?

I personally hate everything Amiibos stands for, just way too money grabby for my tastes, don't get me wrong I like collecting things as much as the next guy (steelbooks are my jam) but I never once thought PS5 needs some like those. Sorry to bring a downer to the forum 😅

@Oram77 would you want PlayStation mini figures if they were reasonably priced?

The only toys to alive games that also have ever appeared on PlayStation machines are Skylanders (Spyro's Adventure until Imaginators) and Disney Infinity until 3.0 series.
I think I want Amiibo like figures for PlayStation as long the games and the characters are strictly kids games, no crossover from rated 18+ franchise because I hate rated 18+ stuffs.

I wouldnt buy them but doesnt mean i think they shouldnt exist for those that would want them

I had to look online to see what they even were, I think I saw them last year in that Nintendo pop-store that came to London briefly. It was all merch like those. They look kind of neat honestly.

@GirlVersusGame the shortest description I can give for amiibos is that they’re Nintendo-licensed figurines used strictly on the Wii U and Switch consoles for gameplay benefits of varying degrees. But 99% of people (myself included) seldom use them like that and prefer having them displayed on a shelf. That said, the Zelda ones do give insane rewards so they’re not useless in gameplay either. 😁
