@JohnnyShoulder Same here. My regular DualSense is just fine still and I have everything turned on as well. I sometimes turn off the triggers depending on the game, but I've still played enough games with them on where it would likely have broken something by now if it was going to. It's been so long since I used my black one, I don't remember if I felt anything different on it or not.

Now watch something on my controller break today, but I still doubt it. I honestly can't remember ever having to buy a replacement controller for any console and I've owned a lot of them. I probably would have had to buy another DS4 because of the battery if I didn't also own the Xbox One X to take away some playing time, but that's beside the point.

@velio84 @Fragile I’m no engineer but the way I understand it, the adaptive triggers don’t really make a difference on how much the springs are strained. This might be counterintuitive but the tension is only relative to the trigger’s position, not how much force you needed to get it there. The additional force is used to “fight” against the adaptive trigger motor, not the spring.

Is it me, or Nordic mythology is getting trendy in PlayStation games right now?
We have:
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
God of War: Ragnarok
Valkyrie Elysium

Not many games, BUT definitely two of the big names are here.

@avatarian It’s a lot more than that. With Valheim, Hellblade, even going as far back as Skyrim. Besides, Valkyrie Elysium is a sequel to a PS1 game so it’s before the trend.

Plumbing’s just Lego innit. Water Lego.

Trans rights are human rights.

@nessionett Wow. No idea the trend was coming for a while now.
Well, they can keep going. I mean, most of these games are pretty good so no problems here.

Hearing Ragnarok mentioned in the Valkyrie Elysium trailer made me think of the February 2021 Direct when Aonuma announced there'd be no BotW 2 news in that Direct. I don't know whether people were just joking or being serious but I saw a load of people expecting GoW Ragnarok in the recent State of Play.

@avatarian For a long time it was Greek mythology. Now it’s Norse. The MCU also has some Norse inspiration.

I don’t mind, I find all of it interesting, but I do think there are untapped ancient legends and myths that could be explored in games and entertainment. The Asian mythology and history seems to be starting to catch some western interest. I’d love to see some Native American and Pacific Islander themed games.

@Grumblevolcano A lot of 'Insiders' got it horribly wrong with some of the games they predicted would be shown off. I wish people wouldn't pay so much attention to stuff like that, but I'm afraid it seems to be the current fashion to take everything they say as gospel.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@velio84 The Swamp of Sorrow world in Demon’s Souls was more than enough of that for me. Probably the most annoying level of the game. 😅

Rumours have it that the next From Software game will be a poison swamp simulator with realistic mud walking.

Damn! I couldn't imagine the worst game ever after reading this post LOL!

Random thought of this weekend: for those of you who have played Horizon Zero Dawn, can you imagine getting a PS5 out of a pile of Ancient Debris and sell it for 5 shards at the closest merchant (since it would be pretty much junk in the post-apocalyptic future) ? Or it would be considered a "vessel" or something else?
(I know, random AF)

@avatarian I think it’s more likely it would end up as part of a head dress or armour as those side plates look perfect for that sort of thing.

Looks like the “share captures through PS App” feature finally launched in Europe (including UK) this morning.
I haven’t had the chance to try it yet but it’s in my app now.

@lolwhatno that's ridicilous. It has been hundreds of years since the "old ones' time" (correct me if I am wrong). A good nokia would still have at least 60% battery left.

Besides, if you could grind nokia hammers and make armor out of it, you will be literally invulnerable.

@Voltan: time to share your awesome gameplay captures!!

I’m seeing a sponsored post about PSVR2 from the PlayStation Facebook page. It links to the blog post from February but it’s kinda interesting that they’d do that kind of campaign now?

@Voltan @velio84 @MightyDemon82 not to rain on your parade guys, but April Fool's day was just yesterday as well. Take everything the internet offered you with a grain of salt (including comments from yours truly).

@avatarian I got the email too, linking to the official page with the PSVR2 info/specs - there's no release date, price or pre-orders yet though.
