Topic: Patch to connect 2 external HDDs for PS5

Frustratingly you cannot connect more than 1 external drive via USB, despite having 2 USB3 ports at the back. I have a number of PS4 games I have bought both physical and digital or through PS Plus and I had to buy a 2nd external SSD.
So how do we get Sony to patch this so you can plug in 2 external drives? They can disable copying between them that's fine, I just wanna be able to play games from both drives without having to remove one drive and add the other because I forgot that Witcher 3 is on one drive and Squadrons is on the other.

Or is this going to be like waiting for the update to support additional SSD storage within the PS5 itself lol

That wasn’t a thing on PS4, I believe, so I would not hold my breath…

@DarthKiwi I mean - you should be able to use multiple external drives no problem, just not at the same time.

I hear you I really need the internal to unlock, I cheaper out for an 500gb nvme external and still I find myself jockeying games around and deleting some. Guess I shouldn't play cod on occasion just warzone and black ops take up so much space
