Topic: New Trophy (Diamond)

Diamond trophy can be earned for players by obtaining all the trophies in game by a certain amount of time after the game has been installed. I like to refer to it as you have Diamond the game. I was thinking maybe playstation could take the platium out but Diamond trophy would fit in perfect. All of these trophies are like jewelry and Diamond would be at the top, then platium, gold, silver bronze. Players can also covert there platium trophies over to Diamond trophies, this would also increase your trophy level. Adding this trophy to the PS5 would be a great addition a 5 trophy system. Let me know what you guys think and get this idea out there.

While it's not the same thing, Xbox has Diamond Achievements so it would look a bit shifty if Sony had Diamond Trophies. Interesting concept though.

I like to take my time with games and go at my own pace. If there was a diamond achievement, then that would make ne feel obligated to rush through it. I'm not a fan of this idea.

Yeah, I can't say I like the sound of a Trophy that becomes unobtainable after a certain period of time.

I do like the idea of a more premium trophy. Maybe I would prefer this:

• Bronze/Silver/Gold trophies work as you know right now
• Platinum unlocks if you complete all of those
• From the moment you unlock platinum you can play for diamond trophies, which are super hard bonus trophies. Like a New Game+ for trophies.

Time limits aren’t great for us older (30s) folk who can’t spend entire days/weekends gaming any more.

Separate trophy lists for online components are still something I’d want and having a differently “branded” top achievement for that would be a pretty reasonable.

I’m playing DOOM Eternal at the mo and I’m hunting out every collectible but will be pretty much locked out of the platinum because of the online trophies.

Not good for those of us with full-time jobs and families to look after and on that basis I think it's unlikely Sony would run with this idea either. But you never know.

Yeah don't see Sony doing this and not a fan in general of having time limits in games.

It would personally alienate me because I like being able to take my time/drop a game and inexplicably finish it months later. Plus, photo mode means I could piss about and make no progress for a whole day.

I would be legitimately offended by this.

Trophy progress tracker would be great on PS5 (fingers crossed)

The recent trophy revamp has kinda made this thread pointless now lol.
