Topic: Is there a way to stop disc auto-installs?

So pretty much the title, but I've noticed the PS5 goes ahead and auto-installs games from discs, seemingly at random. I've got the disc based version of Rainbow Six Siege and used it to get the free Next Gen Upgrade. The problem I get is I've gotta have the disc in the console to launch the game but when the disc is in there the PS5 will randomly take it upon itself to install the PS4 version from disc.

Sometimes it won't do it for a week, sometimes it'll try and do it a few times a day. The only indications it's doing it is the downloads/uploads icon appears in the quick menu and I hear the disc drive spin up like crazy. I looked through the settings but couldn't find an option to disable auto copying. Anyone know if there is one?

Hard drive space is already pretty low on this console so another 45Gb sitting there not being used isn't ideal, not to mention it's gonna do this with every disc based PS4 game I get an upgrade for.
