1. Console: It is a little lighter, mainly because the Pro is about half slimmer than the old version. When placed vertically, it is almost the same height as the old PS5. The facade is narrower, so it takes up less space. The first release of PS5 is still full of materials, at least it is equipped with a chassis. Since silm, only two plastic brackets are given. The chassis of the PRO is a circle, which needs to be purchased separately. The Pro is very quiet when running. The new handle is the same as the old version, but the touch seems a little rough, perhaps because of the different materials. The old version of the handle is polished and smooth, while the Pro console body and handle are frosted. The handle of the first release of PS5 feels very smooth.

2. Games: The following are the experiences of running PS5 games and PS4 games on PRO. The opinions are personal. (Some game screenshots are provided)

PS5 Baldur's Gate 3: With the pro enhancement patch, the loading speed of the game is about 4-5 seconds faster than that of PS5. It can stabilize 60 frames in performance mode, but it is still 30 frames in quality mode. According to the official patch introduction, PRO enhances the game quality in performance mode. The character modeling in Baldur's Gate 3 does look more delicate, and the frame rate of the third chapter has also been significantly improved, but there is still a sense of disconnection at the bottom of the screen when the character runs, which seems to have always existed on the console.

PS5 Elden Ring: FS has not yet pushed the pro enhancement patch, and the current performance is purely the improvement brought by the pro hardware upgrade. 1. In the game, when the picture quality mode and ray tracing are turned on, at night, whether in the wild or in the building, the frame rate is improved compared to the same mode of PS5, and it is very smooth. 2. There is no frame drop when casting spells (spells with more special effects) in the battle screen, but frame drops will still occur when the number of enemies gathers. 3. The frame rate is the same as at night when it is clear during the day, but the frame rate drops significantly on rainy days, returning to the level of PS5 with the same picture quality.

PS5 No Man's Sky: There is a pro enhanced patch, which increases the speed of entering the game and improves the picture quality.

PS5 Diablo 4: There is a pro enhancement patch, and the light and shadow of the picture seem to be enhanced, especially in the dungeon. Otherwise, there is no difference from the PS5 version.

PS5 Black Myth Wukong: The speed of entering the game has been improved, the jagged edges next to the character seem to have been reduced, and the frame rate is said to have been improved, but I personally didn’t feel it.

PS5 Death Stranding Director's Cut: Game entry speed is improved, other differences are the same.

PS5F123, 24: F124 has pro enhancement patches, 24's image quality is more obvious, especially the car looks much more textured in high-speed scenes and replay scenes, 23 is no different. (The reading speed is much faster)

PS5 The Witcher 3: All aspects of performance are the same as the PS5 version.

PS5 GTA5: Entering single-player mode is 2-3 seconds faster... Other than that, there is no difference.

PS5 Cyberpunk 2077: All aspects of performance are the same as the PS5 version.

PS5 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: The image quality is improved.

PS5 Fallout 4: All aspects of performance are the same as the PS5 version.

PS4 Red Dead Redemption 2: Rockstar has not made any frame rate patches, but the game's picture quality and lighting have been improved with the hardware upgrade.

PS4 Ace Combat 7: Improved image quality and loading speed.

PS4 Watch Dogs 2: Improved image quality, frame rate and loading speed.

The above are the games I usually like to play, for your reference only.

A very valuable topic. I'm going to add my experiences. So far I've tried The Witcher 3 and The Last of Us 2: Remastered. As for the Witcher, it was my first experience with the next gen upgrade, so I can't compare it with the base PS5 version.

As for TLOU2: Remastered: The game in the "Pro" mode (4K thanks to PSSR, targeting 60fps) looks impressive. The picture quality and lighting are fantastic, however I've noticed some mild shimmering in a few spots. But there is a much more serious problem: in the Pro mode the game freezes in certain places. The "Birthday Present" cutscene always stops the moment Ellie starts listening to the tape (the picture freezes, the sound keeps playing) and when you exit the game and try to close it, the game crashes. The only way to get around it is to skip the cinematic or play it in Performance/Fidelity mode, not Pro. I read online that people have also experienced a similiar freeze (with the same solution) in one of the later stages of the game (Seattle Day 1 with Abby). So the Pro mode definitelly needs some patches.
