@Voltan @render I was on ‘lunch’ when it arrived (in actuality I was finishing off the last couple of missions on The Division 2’s hard replay mode) but I’m back in work now (literally just moved 4 foot from the gaming-chair to the swivel-chair) and HFW is 6% through its install.

@Bluetrain7 If you mean from PlayStation Direct, same here. I've never had an issue with getting anything from them late, and they'll send it Next Day shipping anyways whenever it goes out today as long as you're a PS Plus member. It's also possible it already shipped and they haven't updated it yet in their system, but either way I'm not concerned yet.

Christ, the level of visual parity between HFW on last and current gen systems is insane. There's some interesting tricks that they use to accomplish this discussed in the video, and obviously PS4 is missing out on the 60fps mode, but... wow. PS4 is seriously punching above its weight here.

It even loads faster than the original on PS4!

@Bluetrain7 Ended up getting the shipping email (and like two others) in the afternoon while I was at work and it'll definitely be here tomorrow.

@Ralizah That's a testament to the talent of their first party development studios, as it was pretty amazing how good some of the games looked even though the PS4 Pro was noticeably less powerful than the Xbox One X. You would have never known it if you just went by their 1st party output with how good they were with checkerboarding.

@velio84 Did the same this morning and just had a quick look. The game feels pretty much the same as ZD but better, especially with the haptics and triggers. It looks awesome and seemed really smooth which, seeing as it’s probably running in graphics mode as I haven’t changed it, is good for 30fps.

Like the way they’ve done the training, it doesn’t feel like a chore, and I like the new introductions…

Oh my god… 🥺 it’s beautiful! Haven’t played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart but as far as the games I’ve played, nothing has ever looked this good.

Also, I was sure that I’d play on Performance mode… but I started the game assuming I was playing at 60fps (maybe because I’ve been playing The Division 2 on PS4, which I assume runs at 30fps and am therefore used to 30 or some such) and then when I checked found out it was Resolution mode. It ‘feels’ absolutely fine in this mode, so I’m just gonna continue with it, at least for the time being.

@colonelkilgore It does seem that those comments about it being a really smooth 30fps are correct. The environments look incredible as the detail has just been taken to the next level. I'm going to do the same and continue with this mode. I've gone in on normal difficultly for now but I remember ZD getting a bit easy on that mode so might change that later if it also proves to be the case.

We should start running a book to see who collects the most driftwood by the end of the weekend 😂

My copy is out for delivery so I’m definitely picking it up today.
I also got some money (~7€) back because they somehow changed the price of this version after I pre-ordered it. Not gonna complain about that

I’ve started it on ‘Normal’ too… can’t see me upping or lowering it if I’m honest but we’ll see.

@colonelkilgore It does seem they don't really give you much space in the inventory but then she is only a wee slip of a girl 😆

And before I offend… well, the world with that comment, I’m actually mocking the idiots who were making a huge deal about Aloy’s subtle change in appearance during Forbidden West’s first trailer… I really shouldn’t feel the need to explain this so explicitly but… at the rate this world is descending, people will be taking offence to Irish garden borders at this rate (O’ Fences 😎)!

@colonelkilgore Good job they kept those puddles of water at full resolution as mixing "big" cheeks with "downgraded" puddles could lead to a cataclysmic event on a scale we've never seen before 🤣
