Topic: Honkai Star Rail

Just got Mydei and added him to support if you guys wanna try him out. He's mostly built but still need better relics. Running with Blade's LC. I tried Tribbie and Sparkle against Feixiao boss and I dunno it looked like he did more damage with Sparkle. Not by much though but the fight was faster as it was practically always his turn. I used him with RMC and Luocha.

I spent all 16 wishes I had and nothing. I do have 70ish wishes saved in the shop credit (that could also be used for 5-star lightcones) but I save that in all these games for when I REALLY want a character and miss the 50:50. I'll still try and snipe him to the end of his banner, if I get close to 75 wishes (unlikely) I might use a few of those to see if I can get him, but I don't want to use most of them.

This made me chuckle. Is there a worse character in any Hoyo Game? Even Amber has uses in Genshin.

That sounds like a solid update to the game. That's a tough one. RM E1 or get my Clara closer to E6 lol. She seems like Mydei's best sub DPS especially for enemies who do aoe.

Any mention of when we will learn what buffs Blade and Jingliu get?

@Shigurui Thanks for the codes and reminder about the Livestream. That seems like a great anniversary! I don't really have a good healer so I might got for Luocha, but E1 RM is also HIGHLY tempting. Silver Wolf and Kafka also getting buffed with Blade and Jingliu.

Castorice continues to look insane. They did keep they the off-field recovery after all.

@Shigurui Glad they're doing so as no one needs another Bailu. Will Seele be getting buffed also? Do you use RuanMei more than Luocha? Their E1's look similar and with Mydei quickly becoming my main DPS (till he eventually gets creeped) Buffing Luocha might be the better choice.

I just sniped Mydei! Just 23 wishes since Tribbie. That’s my first early since Jingliu over a year ago and my first 50:50 win this year.

What teams are you running with him? I tried Tribbie, Ruan Mei and Gallagher which seemed pretty strong, but it’s doubling res-pen. I don’t have Sunday who is his BiS, might try Bronya instead but that needs speed tuning, which is a bit of a faff.

I haven’t tried Remembrance TB as I also dislike switching between paths frequently and still use them heavily with Firefly. Switching is also a faff. It’s a shame you can’t specify which path in teams and it would stick to it.

Also what weapon are you using with him. Currently I’m using the Rappa Ninja event weapon. Firefly is using A Secret Vow.

@themightyant Congrats dude. Hopefully you will have similar luck in future wishes.
I run him with Clara/RMC, Luocha and Sparkle. She pushes his CR and CD to insane levels plus turn manipulation.
@Shigurui I just looked at my comment and realised I forgot to add that the E is more suitable for Luocha seeing as Blade and Jingliu are getting buffed so I may be using him more than RM. Atm I only run her on team Firefly.

@Shigurui Lol I asked cause you have a more level head for these things than I do. The atk% buff won't really do squat against tanky toughness bars I'm guessing. What other teams do you use RM in? As I mostly play auto her only visible benefit is the break recovery stun. I know she does RES PEN but I haven't even bothered checking she has the right relics as FF blasts through everything on her own. Have I been sleeping on a solid support?

@z0d15g0d I agree with @Shigurui Ruan Mei’s E1 was seen as “broken” or “overkill” by some at launch and one of those designed to tempt people to spend more to get a second copy. It’s still one of the best in the game. The reasons are: ATK is pretty easy to come by but DEF shred, like RES-PEN, is much harder. More importantly it’s also pretty universal. ATK buff doesn’t work on everyone (e.g. Mydei), whereas these two shreds basically do.

EDIT: yes you’ve been sleeping on her (lol) she’s still top tier on basically every tier list for a reason.

Still if you don’t use Ruan Mei and you do use Luocha it’s a much harder choice. Only you can decide that, every account is different.

I am split between a new character (Luocha) and E1 Ruan Mei, it seems like a no brainer - get a new character right? - but I think her E1 is that good. I’m also at the point of wanting to increase the power of the characters I DO use regularly across a lot of these games. Decisions, decisions…

@themightyant I always thought her E1 had the same effect as Pela's technique. Then again I doubt the internet denizens would call it "broken" if it was the same. What else does it do as the description reads like Pela's tech.
I say go with new character as that gives you more options. If you are still playing years from now I'm sure they will give more opps to get more E's like we are getting now.

@Shigurui Thanks i'll experiment with her on other teams. What relics do you guys use for her? I'm currently using watch maker with a focus on BE at 244% and Penacony sphere.

@Shigurui I hadn't even considered Fleet let alone Vonwacq (I don't think I've used that at all). So I should focus on BE and SPD I guess.

You seem to have crazy gacha luck lol. You find a 4 leaf clover or lick a frog as a child?

I must have changed it at some point either deliberately to try someone out, or by accident, and forgot to switch it back.

I also realised I had accidentally borrowed/swapped a relic recently and wasn't getting the right elemental bonus of the full set effect in Genshin... it happens. This is a problem when you set and forget a character! I don't often go back to tweak kit.

@Shigurui It's too much to manage, especially across games. Appreciate the heads up dude. I did notice Gallagher was doing more damage that FF in some instances but he's a beast in Break Teams with Harmony TB and Ruan Mei... but didn't put it together!

Talking of Ruan Meu i'm still undecided whether to go for Luocha a character I don't have and might not use, or Ruan Mei E1 which is one of the best Eidolons in the game. I use her a lot. Flip flopping. I hate decisions. lol

Just wanted to say that the lack of VA's in the story is really starting to grate. They should just switch characters out. No one cares what base DanHeng has to say anyway.

@z0d15g0d Yeah the lack of VA's is annoying. At least it hasn't been in too many crucial moments, as far as i've realised, as you said it's usually a Dan Heng aside. Genshin had it so much worse, at the build up of 6 months of story they flubbed the epic crescendo with bits of missing VA's; it was a bit like Thor arriving in Wakanda and NOT screaming "Bring me Thanos!". It was still epic but completely took you out of the moment. Hopefully it's resolved soon.

If I thought they might record all the dialogue later I might even just shelve the story keep doing dailies and events and come back later. But I'm not convinced they will, or how long it will all take.
