Topic: Front usb port not working

Hello everyone so I'm having this weird problem with my ps5 the front usb port won't charge my controller at all and when I plug a mouse or a keyboard it won't recognize it or work but when I plug my phone it charges it could this be a software issue? Because it used to work perfectly fine and I didn't drop or do anything to the ps5 it just suddenly stopped working

Sony will want you to check for updates or do a factory reset.

To be honest i changed my wall socket plates with ones that have USB on them so i don't charge anything from the console.

@Total_Weirdo I did a factory reset but that didn't fix it unfortunately I'm thinking about just sending it back for a replacement but I'm afraid that the new replacement might have a loud fan or a coil whine because mine is super quiet

@TheDarkDevil wait a bit longer then and then you will get a newer model before the 12 months warranty expires.

I'm sure Sony will tweak a few things under the hood soon once stock demands settle.
