Topic: Elden Ring Hype Thread

@Mega-Gazz Yeah, it does make me wonder how much GRR Martin actually contributed outside of his name.

I've been busy for the last few months with a new job and stuff, and I've almost been a bit of a lurker on Push Square. However, I've finally finished Elden Ring. It's over. Platinum and everything. I've explored everywhere, every cave, every catacomb, I've even started NG+ with only spiked fists and no armour, just for the hell of it. What a game.

Actually I finished it last week. I've moved on to Salt and Sacrifice now. It's not as bad as people are making out, in my opinion. But anyway yeah, Elden Ring = good.

@Gremio108 Well done on achieving that platinum. It seems oddly obtainable for a souls game that I'm still expecting From to turn around and tell us all that it was a fake and that in order to get the real platinum we need to do a no hit run of the entire game!

@Gremio108 nice work!! I feel like I'm inching along to the platinum too, just got the last weapon for all Armaments trophy last night but it didn't pop, I'm very confused!!

@Gremio108 Congrats! I’d seen you plodding along with it on my friends list. How long did such a completionist run take? I was going for the similar but gave up on some catacombs etc towards the end.

@render The plat rate for the game is amazingly high. I think just above 10% when I last looked which is higher than lots of games I think have simpler trophies.

@Thrillho That's amazingly high, which I suppose is to be expected with those trophy requirements. I'm not going to complain though but did expect to work a lot harder for it.

@R1spam Cheers! The exact same thing happened to my mate. Try putting them into storage and pulling them out again, like @Kairu says.

@Thrillho Just shy of 200 hours. I've been playing pretty much nothing else since release. I must admit I was tiring of the caves, catacombs etc by the end, but there was some tasty loot so I'm glad I stuck with it.

@LN78 And those kind of things usually only go up in price, especially if they stop being printed.

@LN78 I really wish I got the Dark Souls 3 Art Works, as it goes for over 200 quid when it retailed at about 50 on release.

Well I finally become elden lord!! Shamelessly plugged 3 endings from one playthrough for the platinum trophy. That last boss is pretty tough, not going to lie! The game isn't without fault (some of the dungeons and reuse of boss types got a little samey). Nonetheless, it's possibly the best open world game I've played. The breadth of what's on offer, the sense of discovery that's maintained throughout the whole game and the variety of combat tools at your disposal are truly outstanding. I'm going to watch a couple of lore videos and figure out what I've been playing for the last 100 hrs!

@Gremio108 Wow, 200hrs make my 130 or so hours seem almost pathetic in comparison

And @R1spam has flown through it in 100 hrs! Congrats on beating the game and getting that shiny plat.
