@JohnnyShoulder ya, but in this case you’re not doing horse combat so much as horse-avoiding-the-boss-and-clicking-summoning-signs. To me that boss is the biggest missed potential because he’s a super cool boss turned into a gimmicky “fight” where actually going into combat is the worst strategy and winning with the gimmick is kinda trivial. So I sit there and eat popcorn while the summons do the fighting.
@Mega-Gazz I dunno, I personally still found it a cool fight taking him him on with all the summons with me, fighting him face on. It is obviously easier finding him on your horse with all the summons attacking him, but it is not like the game forces you do it that way.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah I think I was about the same, and similarly I ran in and jumped off my horse. I think if you do it at around 60 you need to do it a lot differently.
You finished the game yet? It feels like I'm over the half way mark after about 170 hours. I'm determined to beat my Witcher 3 playthrough of 400 hours!

@JohnnyShoulder I am really near the end but if I am brutally honest I have bounced off it a bit over the past couple of weeks - 2 months of the same game, any game, is a bit too much for me. I am having a bit of time off to let my enthusiasm build up again. Playing some Captain Toad and Bravely Default on Switch. And taking care of my somewhat neglected house plants 😂
@kyleforrester87 Yeah I get that. It is rare that I stick with a game for so long. I've had a one weekend break from the game and will be having another next weekend, which is also a bank holiday.

@JohnnyShoulder congrats!! That second phase moveset is just crazy! I did that fight on horseback with the summons, though I got stuck in with melee and magic attacks. He pretty much wiped out all my summons within the first couple of minutes of that second phase. Have you been searching for the aftermath of that fight yet?
@Mega-Gazz I’m the same with a lot of games to be honest, I never cleared Breath of the Wild either but it’s one of the best games I’ve played. Frankly whether I finish a game or not doesn’t always have much bearing on how good I think it is, but when I say I didn’t finish something people (rightly) assume I didn’t like it much 😂
In a way I like there always being something left to go back to, even if I never do.
@R1spam Cheers! Yeah that did catch me out the first time it happened and wiped me out.
Not yet, I was following up on Blaidd's quest and then into a cave to obtain on of the bell bearings I have access to. I kinda know where I'm heading to though.

After a week away, I’ve been easing myself back in and it seems like ages since I actually progressed the main story (I swear the trophy progress for “completion” has been sat at 16% for like a month now)
After Caelid/Dragonborrow I’ve mostly been going around caves and catacombs I missed in areas I’ve otherwise cleared but spent the last couple of sessions heading up to the Church of Inhibition. That tower causing madness is a right ****
I should probably head to Caria Manor at some point..
@Jimmer-jammer my 4th playthrough where I did everything but knew exactly what to do and basically mowed through every boss took about 80 hours. So the game is long but I can confirm that it does end…. I can also confirm that you are nowhere near said ending, sounds like you are about a third of the way through.
@Thrillho The trophy percentage stayed at 16% for an age for me too. Its now at 33% after the last couple of trophies.
And yeah that Eye of Sauron Madness Tower did my head in. I quite like the Frenzy enemies though, apart from the swine of an npc invader near by.
@Jimmer-jammer I think I've got two halves from two different medallions, but not sure if I need one of them now as I've already accessed Atlus Plateau. Sounds like you are a bit ahead of me as I've not reached the Mountaintops of the Giants yet.

@Jimmer-jammer oh, my mistake. Normally its the albinauric lady in Liurnia who tells you were the second half is, and you were talking about Radahn so it sounded like you were much earlier.
From Mountaintop of the giants it really depends how linear you are. You could finish it pretty fast if you choose to, or you can do more of the optional stuff and take a while longer.
Hello, so I was gone for a wile, why? I got caught up playing ranked overwatch, and many other games.
I have been on and off elden ring, all of it in the character creator which I love BTW I have made waaaay to many characters in it LOL.
But not to much has happened with my playthough, I fought a boss or two, and I met the most annoying fight in this whole game so far, that in all honesty I could rant forever about, but I just wanted to say, I'm back(Ish).
So I hope everyone is doing well today!
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!
