@PS5_Owner Hi mate, I just wanted to let you know I got an email today telling me that my DualSense has reached them (30/12). I sent it in on 14/12. So it's been a while, but at least things are still happening behind the scenes. I hope this helps if you've yet to sort out your situation.

I've had my unit since launch day. I get the loud disc spinning noise with some discs and not others. It definitely varies disc to disc for some reason. My experience has been:

  • The Pathless (PS5 version) - almost silent
  • Godfall - a little more noise but not bad
  • AC Valhalla (PS5 version) - tolerable but louder than what my PS4 was
  • Fenyx Immortal Rising (PS4 disc but PS5 version on console) - barely tolerable
  • Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4 disc) - Disturbingly loud... sounds like the console is trying to shred the disc

So, not sure why, but at least for me, it really varies disc to disc. Very strange.

Maybe some discs need to read a lot quicker hense the more noise.
