Topic: Automatic internet connection

I was wondering if anyone was having trouble with their ps5 automatically connecting to the internet upon boot up. When I first got it connected right away but in the last month or so I’ve noticed whenever I turn it on it takes a solid minute or two before it will connect. It’s connected to my router through a lan cable and always has been. I haven’t changed anything on my end. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem and if there are any solutions out there. @Tarmstro88 haven't had an internet issue since week of launch, I use ethernet also. Sounds more like a router issue

Mine has been acting strange lately, too. I'm booting up games and it's saying there's no connection, but by the time I close the game and check the store, it's up and running again. Who knows? Covid at Sony?

Same here for about 2-3 months and it seems worse the past month. For me it is sometimes when starting my PRO and regular PS4 there seems to be a delay in connection to the internet. Web sites are slow or fail to load, apps like netflicks and youtube are slow to load, and games like loading Red Dead Online, already real slow, is slower.

My fix is i do a set up of the internet connection, cable, and test the connection speed. If slow i do another test which will usually then be the speed it should be. I then return to find my internet ok with apps and other stuff operating normal. PS4 normal.

Rebuilding the database and using differnt dns settings has has not helped. I also rebooted my router.
