Wow. So Fred just confirmed that there will be absolutely no new deals this week, with the exception of the deal of the week which is ESO.
Don't get me wrong, last week's sale was pretty good, but it wasn't 20th anniversary good. Especially as I'm pretty sure NA got a decent sale (maybe I'm wrong on this).
It seems like a terrible decision not to have anything new to offer at all, particularly seeing as most weeks there is at least some variation / addition to the content on sale in the digital discounts etc, so to suddenly stop that trend on the week of the 20th EU anniversary seems pretty poor...

@godslayer1975: This is what was on the US blog at the time. Not the best for PS4 (although definitely still some great deals), but the PS3 and Vita portion of the sale was brilliant!

On the positive side of things, Broken Age being part of next month's PS+ line up has somewhat placated me now, as I've been looking forward to a chance to try that but was waiting for it to go on sale - this is even better!
Other than that not exactly a stellar line-up, but I'm reasonably happy with SMB, Kickbeat and Chariot

I don't know I think people expect too much from companies this day and age. Where is it written that because it's their 20th anniversary they should have a sale? I don't know just seems odd to me that's all.

@Tasuki: They kinda do it to themselves as they try to move us less toward buying a "product" from them as opposed to buying into an ongoing "service" that they provide. I'm sure you know what I mean. If we're expected to subscribe, invest in DLC's, microtransactions and other fads it's not outlandish to expect for them to return in kind. They do support this mentality - hence discounts under PS+ and seasonal sales etc. They cannot have their cake and eat it, I suppose!
@kyleforrester87: I suppose, but I just subscribe to the idea that these corporations aren't going to do anything for us unless if it goes against there pocketbook. Basically I gave up on corporations doing what's best for the customer and expect them to do what's good for their income. They are a business after all and the point to a business is to make money.

@Tasuki: Totally agree, just saying the more they ask you to buy into them the more people'll expect back. Maybe expect is the wrong word, a reasonable person would perhaps just hope to get a bit more back.
I too expect any business, or even individual, to do what's right for themselves as a priority. I'd then hope they can use their stability to help benefit others.
EU already got a 20th anniversary sale, with the 20th anniversary of the Japanese release last year, we even got 3 EA games from EA as a birthday gift (mirrors edge ps3, nfs most wanted psvita and pvz garden warfare ps4)
I think their retro sale is pretty good. Lots of great PS1, 2 and PSP games. There's so many EU PSN sales each year does it matter that there's not a specific "20th Anniversary Sale"?
@mookysam: The ps1 games were reduced further last year for the vita. £4 for each final fantasy! But I believe we were expecting at least some hoo raa this month and its a missed opportunity on Sony's side. Since the PS4 inception Sony are really dropping the ball and I can see swathes of UK gamers buying an X1.
