Still playing Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain, which is getting more and more fun. I just unlocked the Prawler class which lets me swing around like Spider-Man. So much fun!
I also started up Onrush as I saw that I had it in my PS+ library. Another game that's tons of fun! It's basically Motorstorm but actually good. I've only played the first Motorstorm but I gave up on it since it was so difficult to play. Onrush is much more streamlined. I'm definitely enjoying it way more than Motorstorm.
@Kidfried It really is addicting! Unfortunately, the servers aren't up but there's at least a fairly lengthy career mode. Granted, it's a bit repetitive but considering how fun the core gameplay is, I don't mind that at all.
Been ill the past two weeks but I'm back on form and I've got to the final chapter of Okage: Shadow King.
This has been one hell of a journey. This game clearly has some problems (The pacing has been all over the place since chapter 4 and I think the game must've been rushed to completion). But even with it's faults I've still found it to be a charming and enjoyable journey.
Plus it actually got serious rather then being the goofy and light-hearted rpg it has been up and it severely caught me off guard... In a good way though

With Okage done I've gone back to Persona 3 Portable that I'd left on hold a few months ago.
I LOVE Persona 3 and playing as FeMC in Portable is cool with some bloody brilliant tracks (Way of Life is an absolute banger and Time is utterly delightful).
... But Portable is such a gimped experience for how it had to be originally presented on the PSP that I genuinely don't know how anyone can say this is the "definitive" version of P3 by a long shot.
The character models may be rather basic in P3/FES but they add so much.
Like there's the scene with Shinji headbutting the goon when you're trying to find out about Fuuka. It's not that big or important of a scene but the visual novel presentation of P3P kills so much of the original charm.
And don't even get me started on the missing anime cutscenes. The opening in Portable is SO goddamn awful compared to the original anime cutscene with the rising tension as it keeps switching between Yukari putting the evoker to her head and the Protag wandering to the train station.
I've even been playing the game with the characters doing as they wish in battle (with portable having less tactic options then FES) on hard mode and... Oh it's not that hard at all. It's almost like people never learnt the tactics system properly. Marin f'ing Karin my ass.
I've only really done 2 of the new FeMC social links so far with Rio and Saori and... I genuinely don't know what to make of them.
Poor Rio being in love with stupid Kenji of all people but it's Saori's social link that confuses me the most with her being such a doormat. The whole world is out to get this poor girl and it just comes off as such a depressing and mean spirited link compared to everything else.
I AM still enjoying the game as it is Persona 3 and I do love the cast. There's none of the protag hero worship like in 4 or ESPECIALLY 5 and the fact the S.E.E.S team are more like colleagues working towards a similar goal rather then being super happy BFF's does make them seem more believable then the more 1 dimensional anime tropes the later games provide for the main cast.
I do miss Junpei's jealousy MC that's completely lost with FeMC.
Plus there's a lot of scenes without the protagonist being a part of them which seems to happen very rarely in 5 if I recall.
... Didn't mean for it to turn into a P5 rant there but oh well. Seems I'm still rather bitter about not enjoying it
I have chosen Homefront: The Revolution as the next game I’m playing. It’s been in my backlog for a couple of years now and after playing and loving the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, The Phantom Liberty, I really fancied another gritty first-person experience.
@HallowMoonshadow Seems like I’m doing myself a favour by waiting for the remake. I’ve never played Persona 3, but the fact that they went with the portable version over the PS2 original really puts me off playing it. Although maybe it worked out in my favour because if they had released the PS2 version I would of definitely bought it and I love that I’m going to be going into the remake blind.
Oh you'll be going into P3 blind @Bentleyma? That's really cool I hope you enjoy it when Reload comes out!
I'll admit I may be a bit overly harsh and critical on Portable (Especially as I haven't got far enough to see much of the new content that portable added in exchange for these compromises I'm grumbling about) as vanilla Persona 3 was my first Persona game and my first Atlus game so... It does hold a very special place in my heart.
There's definitely reasons to give P3P a look... Perhaps after you've played reload though?
I dropped Persona 3 Portable because I didn't realise how close we actually are to Persona 3 Reload (and I really want to get that) so I've jumped over to Persona 4 Golden
Forgot how long it takes to get going in P4 but once you're over that hump (The fast forward is very handy for a returning player) I've been enjoying it quite a bit.
The new shuffle time mechanic is cool though honestly a bit busted.
Saved Yukiko and I'm having a blast with it.
Not a fan of Erin Fitzgerald's Chie. She is admittedly a better fit for Chie then Tracy Rooney in vanilla P4 but I just don't really like Erin and how obnoxiously loud she can get.
Sam Riegel taking over for Teddie meanwhile I'm not too fussed over. I do prefer Dave Wittenberg as Teddie in vanilla but Sam does a pretty good job as well.
Overall having a great time in P4G and the music is an absolute top tier

Trying to play and enjoy a somewhat decent run of King of the Hill for Mortal Kombat 11. Its kind of annoying since other players have been going overboard with crazy combos when they play as Joker, Scorpion and frikkin Noob Saibot. thats all they ever play as.
That and slowly trying to level up my rank for Kombat League. Im almost Champion rank.
I downloaded Don't Starve again. One of the earliest titles I played on the PS4 and one that, despite really liking it, I was never really good at surviving any more than about ten days.
Let's hope I can change that this time around!

@KAIRU I had it on my MacBook and recently had it on my iPhone. Great game.
The aim for me in the early days was to find the buffalo creatures as the poop is one of the key resources to building a good base as you need it for growing seeds and replanting berry bushes. Those are both key to getting you through winter.
And then surviving that first onslaught of the dog enemies around day 10.
Once you get far enough in, it becomes about not getting cocky and doing something stupid. Such a frustrating game when you do one little thing badly and lose a 100+ day game.
@Thrillho It really is some mindless fun, isn’t it?
I think sometimes the spawning of the creatures and animals that you get food and supplies from can be a bit annoying but if you get lucky with a lot of animals close to one another I’m sure that could be incredibly beneficial!
I remember seeing a video of someone who was on Day 1,000 and it wasn’t even a challenge anymore. It was crazy!
