@LaJettatura no worries dude.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

When I first play a game, I always try to choose whatever difficulty level the game is balanced around. This isn't always as simple as choosing "Normal," though. Some games, like Etrian Odyssey Nexus, for example, are balanced around the highest difficulty level, because the series in general for years was balanced around a single, extremely high level of difficulty, but recent entries have added in a range of easier difficulties to make things more accessible for non-vets of the series. So when I play that, I play on the highest difficulty. Ditto with any game where the choices are default and easy difficulty: I'll always choose default, because that's what the game was designed to be played on. Mega Man 2 is another example: the U.S. release of the game added an easy mode and called it "Normal," whereas the game's default difficulty was categorized as "Hard." So I play hard mode in that game.

All things being equal, though, if "Normal" difficulty means what it's supposed to mean, that's the setting I'll gravitate towards. I get no thrill out of making things unnecessarily hard for myself.

I normally always play on Normal Mode and when I complete the Games on Normal Mode and if I liked the games I'd revisit them on Hard Mode when I have the motivation to do so. I just find playing on Hard Mode for me Personally isn't fun when you get stressed, depressed, and not having fun at least with Normal I enjoy games and never get stressed or depressed that might sound pathetic that I get Depressed/Stressed playing games but that's how I've always been.

Always normal. I'll play a hardest mode if there's a doable platinum trophy in it for me. I do like a good self satisfaction after completing something difficult in games but if it's stressing me out then I'll just sod it off.

Anti-Matter

I choose Easy / Casual / Cadet difficulty when playing Ratchet & Clank games as i'm terrible at aiming the weapons.
Not interested with Hard Mode for any games as i tend to play casually.
But when playing Dance Dance Revolution, i can play some songs in Challenge difficulty (the hardest difficulty)

Usually stick with the recommended difficulty for the first playthrough of most games these days. Although I jumped onto ultra violent with Doom Eternal, as that's what I always played it on back in the day with psone Doom.

I do often pause on choosing difficulty, trying to figure out what will be the most fun for the game in question. So it's a relief to me when games like Bloodborne or Dark Souls don't give me that decision to make.

Usually Normal or Easy. Unless I'm going for trophies I rarely play games on Hard or above.

I almost always play on normal difficulty the first time through, unless people have noted that its too hard or too easy. On this console generation, I've found repeatedly that I'm forced sometimes to switch to easy to defeat bosses. That wasn't really ever the case before.

When I was younger, I would sometimes go back through and try hard for a second playthrough, but its been a long time.

Usually normal or whatever the equivalent is but sometimes I knock it down to easy.
