Is it just me that thinks Sony have really dropped the ball with this one in failing to give it a bit of a marketing push? I mean, this was a game that could really have helped to sell the PS4 to the more casual gamers out there. Everyone loves a bit of a shlocky horror flick, and this looks perfect for getting a load of pals round, getting really drunk, and having a laugh!
But I've seen literally no advertising / marketing for Until Dawn of any sort other than at the big gaming events. Where is the TV / online marketing campaign?? I mean for crying out loud, the game comes out next week and I had honestly totally forgotten it was even a thing until I spotted it on the Push Square sidebar. I really think this is going to be a majorly missed opportunity to reach some new customers for the PS4.

They did the same with planetside 2. The lack of marketing was surprising for such a big game.

Just seen that they've added a new trailer to the PS Blog. If they've got any sense they'll be showing this on TV, but I'm surprised we've not seeing anything already seeing as it's so close to release.
I know Sony are doing really well in the sales battle so far, but that's no excuse to be resting on their laurels, especially with releases like these that could bring in some decent numbers if handled properly!

Sony always does this. Last generation they had so many of these 'mid-tier' games that they just sent out to die: Starhawk, MAG, numerous Ratchet & Clank titles, SOCOM 4, MotorStorm 2 & 3, Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper 4... I could go on.
The difference this generation — so far — is that it's not been funding quite as many of these mid-tier games, and has been ploughing that cash into digital stuff like Rapture.
I think they're going to take a wait and see approach with this one. If it gets decent reviews and starts getting traction through word of mouth, I think they'll advertise it heavily around Hallowe'en. If it doesn't, then they'll bury it like they did The Order: 1886.
@get2sammyb: True, they don't have the best track record. With some sensible marketing strategy they could rake it in even more than they already do, but they just seem hell bent on going about things the wrong way! I'm all for them ploughing cash into developing the more niche side of the industry this gen, but they need to stop and realise that throwing a bit of extra cash at properly marketing the more widely appealing releases will give them even more revenue to continue funding the stuff that's targeted at the "core" gamers!
I mean, in a similar vein to what @system11 said, for Until Dawn all they need to do is chuck some footage of Hayden Panettiere legging it about in a towel on the "Movies4Men" channel and the sales will come rolling in!

Finally saw this advertised on TV yesterday, better late than never I suppose!
