Much as I consider myself a collector, and as such would prefer to be able to buy all the games I want and add these to my collection, I am increasingly considering online game rental services as an option simply as it seems to make so much sense financially.
Boomerang rentals currently offer about 90 of my c.170 game wish list, covering PS3, PS4, PSV and 3DS, at what seems to be a reasonable price - unlimited monthly rentals for £10/m (1 at a time) or £15/m (2 at once). I'm just a bit cautious as I've heard talk previously of these services being a bit dodgy, never sending your top priority games and also taking forever to acknowledge receipt of returned games and send your new ones out.
As such, I was hoping that we might have some Push Square users who use Boomerang (or similar) and can shed any light on the quality of the service? If it sounds like things have improved, and they now offer a timely and reliable service, then I will most likely be giving it a go, but I just wanted that all important feedback before taking the plunge! If anyone can recommend a service other than Boomerang that offers similar value and decent service then I'm all ears!

I don't know about Boomerang but I have been using a similar service here in the US called Gamefly and I have no complaints. The only time I have not had them send me my first choice is if its around the release day of a high profiled game but that's to be expected. Turn around for me is about 2 days but I live about 8 hours away from the shipping center. I have heard from some people that it can take up to 5 days but they live further from the shipping center.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Sufficiently reassured, I think it's safe to say I will be giving Boomerang a go some time soon! There's a lot out there that I want to play but don't see myself going back to once I'm done, and this seems pretty much ideal for those sorts of games!
