Topic: Titanfall 2 Beta 'tech test'

Anyone checking it out. It starts today until Sunday/Monday I believe then it's back on the 26th for another few days.

Yeah, I'll be downloading it. Not sure if I can handle the fast pace action since I get motion sickness easily from some games especially the FPS genre.

Playing these betas just kills any hype I have for the main game and usually puts me off getting it all together. To be fair I'm unlikely to get this game anyway but the campaign looks kind of cool so if it ends up being decent in that regard I may look to get it.

I'll definitely check it out. I'm deciding which of the Big Three shooters I'll buy this year (I might end up buying none of them) so I'll gladly play this

Why was this moved? I was looking for guys to play it with which is why it was in the other forum and not this one?! It's not a discussion on Titanfall 2 itself, not by me personally anyways, merely the beta. It was posted in the forum for meet ups etc..

Regardless, kill the hype as it may, without these tests, the game would be worse off come release. No harm done checking it out.

Kicks off at 4pm so I'll play some after work later. Finished the training part this morning which gave a little insight into it. Can definitely see where AW got some of the inspiration from.

@daveofduncan: Ah my bad just the way it was going and by the title and even your OP, it sounded like it was a general topic for the beta. Anyway as it is this thread will only be relevant during the beta so once we get closer to the actual launch there will be both a discussion thread and a group making thread as well in their sections.

I've just been playing it to capture some gameplay footage. It's so fast. I really like it - lovely controls - but it's so hectic I wonder if I could keep playing for prolonged periods. It's not exactly relaxing, isn't it?

@get2sammyb: I used to play Titanfall to unwind after long days at work! Just pick a sniper class, set up camp in some remote area, and pick off people running across the battlefield. I haven't played the beta yet, but I'm assuming you can still do this. It's relaxing and enjoyable for any competitive FPS and I highly recommend it (despite camping being frowned upon...but then again, that's only because most players aren't skilled enough to hunt down and deal with campers).

Played only match earlier and I have to say the mechs in this game are really cool. Might consider getting it if the campaign is good.

I find it hard to keep interest in pure multi-player games, especially since destiny has rather satisfying pvp if I want a fix.

I do plan on ripping myself away from NMS long enough to try it though.

Off topic, but do you get anything else besides cosmetic items from the Titanfall 2 Deluxe Edition? Just curious since it cost 20USD more compared to the Standard Edition.
