Over 80hrs to get my first ending in Cyberpunk and, even with a trophy guide in the background, I still missed performing a minor task which means I’m locked out of one ending and therefore the platinum on this play through.

@Thrillho Oof, that sucks. Always my biggest fear with long games.

@Cornaboyzzz congrats buddy, sounds like you had a lot of fun with this one… not really a racing guy myself but it definitely sounds tempting.

@Thrillho devastating news😱

#33 - Lego City Undercover. Decent game with lots of good ideas, let down by insane bloat and poor level design. The lack of Mario content on versions other than the Wii U version make this a rare game which is best on that console too. Took bloody ages and I’m glad it’s done.

@nessisonett congrats. I loved playing this on the Wii U, almost got the 100% as well. My only complaint at the time would be the load times. Awful.

@Kairu Nice work on getting that 100%. I'm hoping that one day I might just see that number myself!

@Cornaboyzzz Congrats on the GT7 platinum. It really has a great game and they really nailed a lot of things in this iteration. The controller functions are on another level and only having a wheel would probably be better. The early cafe stuff I really enjoyed, although I haven't gone back and done some of the later ones they added after I platinumed it. You are right though, having those missions as part of the platinum would have made it so much more. They could have binned the legendary cars requirement and put that in instead even if you only had to bronze them, at least that way they would have been more a part of the game.

@Thrillho Aye that happened to me as well so you probably messed up on exactly the same part. I'd also read the trophy guide just in case as I knew how big the game was but for some reason didn't twig at that moment I really needed to do that one thing. I didn't check back until it was too late and my auto save had been overwritten. I may go back one day to finish the job off properly.

@Fight_Teza_Fight @nessisonett Nice work on those hard earned plats as well.

@nessisonett The LEGO Master strikes again !

@render To be honest I haven't tested the DualSense since I have a wheel but I'll definitely will ! I heard great things about it.

@WCB @colonelkilgore @RogerRoger It's annoying but luckily the gameplay is so fun that I've jumped straight back in with a female V and a different "origin story" to make it play differently. I reckon I'll drop the difficulty down and just mainline the story with some side missions to level up sufficiently.

The biggest annoyance is that the thing I missed doesn't actually lock you out of that ending but literally changes one tiny part of it which is needed for the trophy. Oh well..

@render It's kind of annoying that rescuing him is done in such an opaque manner and that there's no obvious waypoint to allow you to find him to do so. I think I got done because I'd read it happened in the penultimate story mission but I didn't realise quite how few of them there were; my final play time was over 80hrs and I wouldn't be surprised if it was around the 40hr mark I finished that mission so it really didn't feel like I was towards the "end" at all!

I wasn’t expecting to pop #49 tonight but must have miscounted and ended up closing out the 70 golds I needed for Gold Rush to bag the Red Dead Redemption 2 platinum. Thanks to everyone who helped with the online piece, especially as I thought those were the ones that I would likely never get when I played this way back when.

Doing Gold Rush also gave me chance to relive a lot of the story elements of the game as it’s been many years since playing that side of it. I’d forgotten quite how well written it was and also how good the characters are. Some of the missions sailed through but interestingly the last few I attempted were ones that I’d originally discounted as they sounded like they would be a chore. The hardest ones were definitely those with a time requirement along side something like an accuracy requirement. Most of those I tried once and if I failed then I’d just move on.

So guess I’ll be looking out for a number 50, so will see what I can come up with for that.

@Thrillho Yeah exactly the same here and so I thought nothing of it until it was too late. I felt quite annoyed at the time but I’ll look forward to playing it again, like you plan, as a different V.

@render damn, well done. 👏 That is a very fine game and a big one to complete.

@render congratulations mate, one of the greats that for sure. Out of interest, did you have any issues finding the Rio Grande Wild Turkey… I thought finding one was gonna be the end of my sanity at one point.

@WCB @colonelkilgore Cheers guys, it certainly is one of the greats. When you look at the size of just the story side of the game and then start to factor in all the other things you can do such as helping your companions and hunting etc it's just hard to get your head around just how they managed to build all of it. The entire thing is also made by those little details, the interactions with people as you ride around, the fact that you can walk into a saloon and order and drink and play a game of poker, that each of the towns has a different feel to it. They just nailed this game.

As for the Rio Grande Turkey, that did take me a while to find. I think I finally came across one in New Hanover after many hours of hunting that and other things and then after that I saw loads of the bloody things. The main ones I had problems with were the Pileated Woodpecker, the Angus Ox, and the damn Cougar. The woodpecker I could never find even though I could hear the damn things, the Ox for some reason never spawned in any of the ranch locations it was only ever the Devon Ox, and the Cougar I'd killed and skinned but hadn't studied.

Studying a fast moving big cat I found wasn't all that easy though, especially as they hang about in woodland. I'd be there camping out waiting for the thing to appear and nothing for ages, then I'd move a little bit and the thing would be on me. I tried loads of different things and eventually gave up and used the poison throwing knife trick to wound it but not kill it so I could study it before it died. Tell you what though, other games I might have given up but this game the hunting side of it was so good that I was happy to go through the pain. There were moments where it was so immersive like hanging about in the mountains while the sun goes down and watching the sky change, and the hearing the noises change. Just awesome.

@render
Massive achievement there. Great stuff!
How you feeling after that... Looking forward to the next one or feeling that there's gonna be something missing now that it's over?

Have any of you guys signed up to PlayStation Stars yet? It’s not available in the UK yet, but I was wondering just how much trophies play into the rewards & tier program.

@sorteddan Cheers man, feeling good to have finished it off as when I put it down in 2019 I thought I'd probably never get back to it. If it wasn't for the fine folk on here though I'd have not done those online trophies and that wouldn't have reignited my interest in the game so I'm glad for that.

I will certainly miss playing though as is always the case with an open world game. I can easily get side tracked by things and I'd find myself wandering off to check out a dot on the map even though I didn't need to and it wasn't something I had to do for any completion or anything. That doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to doing something else as I've got plenty to get back to. I've somehow started both Sekiro and Bloodborne so have both of those to get on with as well as anything that the kids want to play, which at the moment seems to be A Short Hike. At least that last one shouldn't take me too long.

Congrats @render, I share your sense of achievement as I also recently went back and got the 70 golds for the RDR 2 Platinum. Seeing @colonelkilgore getting it done spurred me on to go back and give it a go and I agree the timed challenges are an absolute joke. I must have tried the planting the dynamite on the bridge mission about 5 times, but despite feeling like it couldn't be done any faster on my last 2 attempts it still never worked. Getting about 60 golds was fine but there were many attempts to get the final few for me.

That ended up being my 90th Plat despite me planning on making GoW Ragnarok that milestone. I just wanted to make sure I could get RDR 2 done. Seeing as I had already left one game one trophy short to save the landmark, I decided to see if I get enough games done to get to 100 in time for Ragnarok.
So, for the last week or so I have searched through my game catalogue and plus games for quickish games and ending up buying a few cheap ones which resulted in me discovering some interesting games I might not have ever played. With a few PS5 versions of PS4 games also in the mix I just got to 9 games with A Plague Tale finished just now.
I carried on the trend of leaving the games a trophy or 2 short, so tomorrow I'm going to see how quickly I can finish them all off and pop 9 Platinums.

@BearsEatBeets Hey congrats mate, it’s good to share in the achievement. It’s weird that 70 golds as it feels like it’s easily doable considering there’s over a hundred to choose from, yet they have made just enough of them ridiculously hard enough to make it take longer than it should.

There were a few really weird ones in there too like those that essentially had no action in them and all they could do was apply a time limit. You then rush through them skipping the cut scenes and come out the other side wondering what happened.

I’ve likely got a few games where I’m not too far away from a platinum but 9, that’s incredible. Good luck with popping those in as quicker order as possible. It might just be raining trophies on here soon enough 😂

BearsEatBeets

@render cheers, yeah I probably would never have gone back to attempt it without the recent community push. I totally feel all the challenges go against what the game is and how it's meant to be enjoyed. The pull the barn down one is just silly. Watch a cutscene then spam one button as fast you can, and you might get gold. I just wish I discovered you could abandon missions if you mess it up earlier. I was right near the 70 when I found out and had been playing out whole missions even if I had messed up early on. I could have saved a lot of frustration.
And your right 70 out of over 100 doesn't sound so bad but I'm not sure if I would have managed it if it had required many more.

Well, I've deliberately played and left those games a trophy short (bar one) as it seemed like a fun idea. If I get them done tomorrow, I'll post the list and you'll see none are particularly big to complete.

@BearsEatBeets I obviously congratulated you over PSN the other day… but I’ll take the opportunity to do so again here. Great work buddy 👍
