I kinda got distracted by other games at the time @Frigate (I think it was Rayman Legends) and just wasn't in the mood for a challenge at that point either but... Guess that isn't the best of signs ha ha 😅
I'll get back to it soon! Hope you enjoy it if you do decide to get it and enjoy Dragon Age: Inquisition too ... I quite enjoyed that one after not really gelling with the first one!
Hey forumers, I know this question got asked not long ago (and the site has done articles on it) but what are good, simple local co-op games?
The wife randomly decided she’d like to give gaming a go while we played a mini-SNES on holiday in the US. The list on the site was good but I’m trying to find ones that are as simple as possible so indies are probably the way to go. Overcooked is definitely on the list, Sonic Mania May be worth a go too.
Like, I recommend it a lot, because it’s awesome, but it’s also a gentle zen platformer with fun mechanics/zero punishment for falling to your death/no enemies.
Never played it at launch but had Dark Cloud by Level 5 and thought I'd love it. But the weapon upgrading system that was in both Dark Cloud games is a joke in this.
Not to mention it gets extremely repetitive with the random battles and it feels like you're just running down corridor after corridor and the plot and story is extremely tropey
Dark Chronicle/Cloud 2 is good though.
I actually prefer the first game, but the second introduces voice acting, a melee AND ranged weapon, a golf minigame, an improved fishing minigame and the dungeon crawling/slight roguelike with the dungeons is more enjoyable with the more calculated combat (Rogue Galaxy feels button mashy in comparison)
The gameplay loop being much more enjoyable
As for Star Ocean: Til The End Of Time
It's technically the last of the series cannonically. You'll find out why if you get it
Only problem is there's a bit of a crashing bug with the release that hasn't been patched out properly. I think the game crashed about 7 times on me throughout my playthrough of it. Seemed to be because I was switching through the map display too fast.
But I bought the US version (It wasn't on sale on the UK store at the time), apparently the europe version is better... But heads up.
Otherwise it's a solid title, have it on PS2 as well
Dark Chronicle/Cloud 2 has like two references to the previous game... That's it though so you should be fine.
I just prefer the story and villian more in the first game really, the gameplay's pretty great in both with two having obvious improvememts
Star Ocean: Til The End Of Time is the only Star Ocean I've played @KratosMD and it doesn't seem to interconnect to any of the others directly far as I know.
There's a MASSIVE glossary for every term and topic you come across in the game that gives you a bunch more information about the world (even if most of it is irrelevant)
Not to mention there's plenty of endgame content with high level bonus dungeons and replayability with the relationship mechanic, four optional party members (you have to leave two behind), varying endings and the battle trophies
Again as I said careful if you do get it with that crashing problem. Crashed on me more then Fallout 4 did and being a rpg from the ps2 with no autosaves or anything you can lose a lot of progress.
The "Remaster" is also just an upscale with nothing else done as far as I can tell
I dunno, if I can start a new thread with this question so gonna add it here what would you guys say, are the best Assassin creed games so basically the question is to Assassin Creed fans if u had to rate the top 5 Assassin creed games out of 11 games total believe there is could be wrong? what makes your top 5 from the Assassin Creed Series?
@Davehunt Well, this article here is the Push Square editors’ opinion on that. You can see they have Odyssey, Origins, and Black Flag as their favorites, but you can see the full rank list of 14 games.
I’ve yet to play any of the series since Black Flag since I disliked it so much. But I do think I’ll dive back in and try Origins and/or Odyssey. My favorite is AC2.

Sorry if this is a silly question as it's a follow-up question so games like Assassin's Creed II (PS3) can't be played on PS4 correct? cus it says PS3 or am I completely wrong? sorry if it's a stupid question.
Hi guys I am looking for a few more opinions on the current list of games I have the 4 I think I want but would love others opinions on these already seen the reviews of the games but curious of what 4 games you guys would pick off this list. As I like others opinions on things.
FIFA 20
Days Gone
Call Of Duty: Modern warfare (Pre Order)
Yakuza 0
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Borderlands 3
The Division 2
Monster Hunter World
Detroit: Become Human
Madden NFL 20
Mortal Kombat 11
Metro Exodus
What is the MSG order btw is it?
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Because ye I'd love to know the order cus I like to start at the beginning of a story not a continued story from another game.
Also the Yakuza order I believe is.
Yakuza 0
kiwami
Kiwami 2
or am I wrong with Yakuza story going from 0 to kiwami etc.
@Davehunt The Kiwami games are complete remakes of Yakuza 1&2 with some changes made as well. The series is a bit bonkers and I can see why some might not enjoy the games but I think they’re great fun. They’re all subtitled though and that does put some people off.
Monster Hunter is a great game and my first experience of the series. Some systems can be pretty opaque so you may need to read some online guides/tips but the combat and progression is very satisfying.
@FullMetalWesker I had a good time with SoulCalibur VI. I would definitely say it’s worth getting at this point because the price is quite good at $18. There is a lot of content, the character creator is very well done and the fighting is a good mix of easy to pick up and play, and yet deep enough for the enthusiast to sink a lot of hours into.
I’m not much of a fighting game fan, so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I appreciate approachability in my fighters and I play very few of them. As an aside, I think I liked Injustice 2 even better than SC6. The story, modes, and characters were of more interest to me. But SC6 is definitely worth the current asking price.

You said it in the switch thread @Ralizah that you got a PS4 partially for Gravity Rush 2... Obviously don't wanna derail that thread so thought I'd ask here how it is.
I only know of Kat thanks to the Playstation All Stars DLC... So I've never played the first either. Is the gravity changing fiddly and how is the game as a whole really?
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy The gravity shifting is a bit fiddly, but it's also a lot of fun.
Gravity Rush was a simple, short, but extremely fun and gorgeous little handheld game with a compelling traversal mechanic, cute cel shaded visuals, and unique, vaguely French surrealist open world filled with activities and items to collect that allowed you to upgrade your abilities. The game had an almost Nintendo-like zen to it.
Gravity Rush 2... I never finished it, because a little thing called Breath of the Wild launched a month or two later and rocked my world, but it's a much bigger game than the original. Which is both good and bad. While it feels like a much more ambitious home console game, it's also a bit slow in spots and is missing the simplicity and lightning pacing of the original game. It's beautiful, though, and still well worth playing.
They're fantastic little games, and both can be had in PSN sales for under $15 quite regularly. The original shows its modest handheld origins when played on a home console, but it's still a good time, and GR2 is an expansive, home console-scale realization of the same concept, with an increase in scope and complexity to match.
