I see them all the time at places like Gamestop, Walmart and Target.
Where do you live , Paradise ? An area with a small population or what ?
It's been over a year here . I feel like I'm the only one with a controller dilemma . If it's sold out here in the second most populated state in the U.S. then I know places like Cali aka sony land is sold out too . New york as well ...
I also want to mention that the Controllers that crapped out on me are all still very much functional . its just that simple analog jittering/stuttering ; but overall to a person whose unaware of my controller problems they'd probably have no problem using it for the most part.
I felt i needed to mention that , because i think i may be exaggerating the overall quality of the ps4 controller. its just the analog for me .
@nomither6 I had the exact same thing. It would move a character extremely slowly forward which doesn’t sound that bad but got really annoying until it started fully drifting.
@nomither6 I play about 25 hours a week, sometimes more. Probably don't play as many FPS or fighters as you. Wasn't dismissing your issues, just stating my experience with the controller. I would probably be just as annoyed as you if I was having the same issues with my controllers.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@nomither6 It's not just you, there don't appear to be any available anywhere in Arizona either. It's annoying because the PS4 isn't even discontinued yet, but the DS4 controllers already appear to be out of circulation with the exception of the controller bundled with each PS4...
@kyleforrester87 sorry to hear that mate. Looks like you smashed your donation target though and now there is a new target 😅. Do the goalposts just move when you reach it?! I guess I could be misremembering but I'm sure it was 2200 before lol
But yeah, hit me up on PSN if you wanna talk about it or anything. Post some training updates in the Health thread too if you feel up for it!
@kyleforrester87 Best of luck with your bike ride, buddy! I hope having something so positive to focus on helps with everything else you've had going on lately, and congratulations on smashing your original target!
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@nessisonett My first two PS4 controllers (the one that came with the system and one that I bought the same day) worked great and lasted for about five years. Eventually, they both "died of old age" with the L stick and R2 buttons breaking. I play mostly RPG's and sports games, so those are buttons that I use a lot.
From that point, I bought three name brand Sony replacements, and the quality of each was clearly not the same. You can feel it when you hold them. The first completely crapped out within a year, with the L stick basically caving in. My latter PS3 controllers had this same issue. I literally broke one in half accidentally while playing.
The second and third have developed the drift issues, like you spoke about. Interestingly, it doesn't happen with every game. But for a lot of games, the character will just creed forward continuously unless I'm actively moving it in another direction. Thankfully, both controllers are still useable after two or fewer years of life, but its probably only a matter of time.
@kyleforrester87 oo yeah I am, still working out the kinks though. I'm sort of running my watch app and Strava at the same time and ending up with two sets of data. Bit confusing really bit Strava itself doesn't pick up my watch but will import the data from the app
@kyleforrester87 done 👍, I sent you a PSN message to explain some stuff cos I don't think Strava has a messaging feature but yeah! I look forward to comparing notes lol
