I might get it since I haven't played any Dark Souls game yet; but I'm thinking of getting Bloodborne first before trying any Dark Souls game out.

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah I don't think I did that properly last time, I am currently dodging the archers and exploring Anor Londo, looking for Havel's Set, I think I can take on O&S again without a great deal of trouble as I have plenty of humanity left over from earlier in this playthrough.

Just beat O&S on my second attempt at them, which was also my first attempt with Solaire's assistance. I think I may have broken the game but the later bosses, especially Gwyn, should really test whether I have truly done that. Now, with Havel's Set (I found it with the help of a guide) I can take on and hopefully beat Seath without too much resistance

@nessisonett @JohnnyShoulder I beat Seath. It was, as you said, easier than I thought. Should I go to the catacombs next? (and then on to Tomb of the giants) I know it doesn't really matter but would you say it is advisable to tackle the bosses in that order? Seath, then Gravelord Nito? (Note, I haven't taken Pinwheel down yet and know he is in the catacombs before you reach the tomb but hear he is easy.) Thanks for your help and support guys!

@Draco_V_Ecliptic Personally I did the Demon Ruins next but Catacombs is perfectly valid as long as you can beat the skeletons outside Firelink easily. Pinwheel is true to the legends, if you die to it then you might as well fall on your own sword 😉

@Draco_V_Ecliptic I can't remember which one I did next, they are quite annoying areas to slog through though.

@JohnnyShoulder You’ve got that right, the game definitely dips in this section but it’s worth it for the final area.

Still love how well the the world is designed in Dark Souls. Bloodborne came close, but made up for it by being way more atmospheric imo.

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, I’m replaying 2 mostly because Alonne is the only boss in the entire series I haven’t killed and the world is so terrible in comparison. It’s basically just a few linear paths similar to Demon’s Souls which I remember being a huge disappointment compared to how tightly packed the first game was. Discovering some of those shortcuts was seriously cool when you found where each place fit into the world.

@nessisonett Just beat Pinwheel without dieing to it, so I don't have to "fall on my sword" .Next stop, Tomb Of The Giants - that Rite Of Kindling should come in handy, too!

@Draco_V_Ecliptic Pinwheel reappears as a normal enemy literally 5 minutes later so it really shouldn’t be a boss! Good luck with Tomb of the Giants, I’m not there yet in Remastered so it’ll be interesting to see if they’ve fixed any of the sight problems.

@nessisonett Oh, where are you in Remastered? I've gone to the Demon Ruins now, just took out Ceaseless Discharge (again). I killed it during my first attempt at the game but had to do it again to drain the lava (obviously).

@Draco_V_Ecliptic I’ve played the original about 9 times but picked up Remastered on sale for £0.75 on Steam as an upgrade. I’ve not played it much and I’ve been a bit unlucky with item drops so I’m only in Blightown and that’s after doing the Depths after I totally forgot they existed and tried to beat Quelaag after rushing straight from the Gargoyles. It was annoying, I was doing 20 damage a swing but still got her to a hit left and then she one-shot me with an explosion. That was one of those ‘just quit the game and come back later’ deaths 😂😂

@nessisonett Yeah I know exactly what you mean, I used to get those in DS3 with Pontiff Sulyvahn all the time. Have you played that one as well? You might find soul farming in the Grave of Artorias to be of some considerable benefit, if your level is high enough to survive it's dangers! .I'm in Lost Izalith right now, after beating the three bosses of the Demon Ruins, I take it that it's more or less a clear, linear path to the boss?

@Draco_V_Ecliptic If by clear, linear path you mean wading through lava with loads of enemies then yes, if I remember correctly there are easier areas to get lost in than Lost Izalith. I’ve played DS3 yeah, I have one boss in the Soulsborne series left and it’s Sir Alonne in the DS2 DLC. I never did beat him so I’ve been replaying 1 and 2 simultaneously.

@nessisonett I've beaten Bed Of Chaos now. What was your favorite boss in DS3? Mine were the Twin Princes. Good luck with Sir Alonne. What do you find particularly challenging about him? I struggled with DS2 due to the lack of soul farming availability which was in turn due to the finite respawning of enemies. I find these games more amenable to my playstyle when I farm or summon, I beat Bloodborne solo but I summoned for the last two bosses in DS3, mainly due to running out of patience with the game by that stage, after the amount of effort it took me to defeat Dancer Of The Boreal Valley.

@Draco_V_Ecliptic I think my favourite boss in DS3 was probably Gael in The Ringed City, he’s the biggest challenge I’ve had in the DS games. Sir Alonne I fought back when I’d only played DS1 and DS2 so I could probably beat him now but I just found him really fast and hard to parry, plus I truly dislike a lot of DS2’s gameplay and weapons. I’m hugely overleveled this playthrough though, I should be fine.

If you use the Victor's stone in Majula in Dark Souls 2 and become part of the "Company of Champions" covenant enemies will keep repawning @Draco_V_Ecliptic (providing you're playing a fully updated Dark souls 2 or the Scholar of the first Sin edition)

It does make enemies hit harder and make them have better defenses as well as infinite respawns though

My favourite boss in Dark Souls 3 was probably Pontiff Sulyvhan. Great fight, great lore, just a top bloke all round.

I'm sort-of stuck in the Ringed City. Some dragon who I keep fighting on a ledge. I've nearly had him a few times, but then he gets very angry and slaps me to death. It's almost like he doesn't want me to kill him.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@Gremio108 IIRC there is a place under his head where most of his attacks do not hit you. His sweep move does but you can just roll back a couple of times to avoid it. Be careful about falling of the ledge though!
