So, I converted some 4K mkv files to play on the PS4- switched the container to mp4, video codec is avc, and audio codec is aac. I left the resolution at 4K (for example, Jaws is 3840x1632) figuring that as long as my codecs were properly formatted, everything would be cool. Anyways, my PS4 (NOT PS4 Pro) is giving me the message "Cannot play the media"- is this just because of the resolution? Thanks for any info

@friggindead A standard or slim PS4 can't output in 4K, it only does 1080p HDR.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
