If you after a good price for No Mans Sky the posters on hotukdeals are good at finding deals for the game. Think last week you could get it for £37 not sure if thats still valid or not.
@xX_RiscazZ_Xx: You're in London arnt you? They are doing a tour where they'll be covering their music from NMS. Not sure if there are tickets left for the Islington gig. I do want to give it a listen but I'd rather experience it with the actual game for the first time. I find 65DOS a bit hit and miss sometimes but they have some great tunes to be fair.
@kyleforrester87: Great stuff mate, thanks for that! I'll give a listen to their other albums and make a move after I've listened to their stuff more broadly, even if they're probably focused on this latest one. Have to say, been listening to it on repeat throughout the day and it is quite something, the word "epic" comes to mind.
@daveofduncan: Wait wait wait! I was talking about Rebel Galaxy which is free at the moment on PSN! Might be fun to get you "in the mood" for free.
Though, I have pre-ordered NMS and am counting down the days until I am pleasantly surprised/crushingly underwhelmed/apathetically somewhere between the two.
Just seen a piece on NMS on BBC One's 6 o clock news. Pretty big deal considering the only time gaming stuff ever really appears is either the release of new hardware or a big juggernaut British IP is released like GTA. I think some may well underestimate just how big this game could be.
@daveofduncan: Sorry to hear that mate, hope it gets sorted for you. The most I would probably spend on a digital game be £30 and it would have to be on a game I know I would probably enjoy.
I've put in my first 2 hours of the game and I'll give you some impressions. First planet was quite the icy one, lots of low temperatures to keep track off. The objectives were reasonably told to me on what I needed to do, only major complaint so far is inventory slots for your suits seem to be on the low side, so I STRONGLY recommend that you only pick up resources that you need. Also shifting resources from one inventory to another is a bit awkward. Performance wise it's been really solid, though I should stress that I haven't tasted combat or storms, only graphical issue the odd texture pop ins and artifacting by the procedural generation, though that could be improved later when temporal AA is added. So far impressions are really good, it's clearly a game all about discovery and leaving my first planet to head to an unusually shaped space station was quite the thrill. The game will be quite slow early on due the lack of resources at your disposal.
