I haven't looked up anything, but can't imagine the horror of selling the stones only to need them later! That would be a disk snap situation, if not, then certainly a controller fling.
@Shellcore: To be fair it's not like you NEED them to continue, and if you didn't do the Atlas path maybe you wouldn't even come across that bit of the game anyway :s
@MadAussieBloke: Because the Atlas path is a specific game dynamic you wont find them elsewhere. Its just a word of warning but if you want to ignore my friendly advice thats your prerogative.
Took the plunge and flew into space tonight for the first time. Then mistakenly went into pulse and went miles away from my original planet, felt a little scared, not gonna lie.
Found my first space station though but it was empty. Found my second planet just next to it that had a distress beacon on it. Got my hyperdrive blueprint!! then flew back to the space station to buy a part I needed for it. Just need some Heridium now (which there's tonnes of on my original planet) so I'm getting there. Love this game

@scubydo: The patch is out for PS4, but there aren't any in depth patch notes yet. I've been checking the NMS website but nothing yet. Hopefully they fix this issue soon, although I've yet to encounter it.
I do know that they haven't yet sorted out the glitch whereby you take off from the surface of a planet and it launches you straight into space.
And also, @themcnoisy, this could have been a fluke, but the game crashed after I updated it. Seems they're yet to squish all the bugs, but we won't know exactly what they've tackled until patch notes are out.
@Quintumply: Yeah, I'm waiting until the next patch. Seems really buggy, but will pick it up for £20 next week!

Not a single crash after the latest update. I'm really looking forward to see what this game will end up being within 1-2 years.
Finally found my 1st 'extreme' planet and working on 'The Sentinel' trophy. High Sentinel activity with a ton of rare resources just spread across the planet. Already died twice trying to grab the goodies and run and had the timer reset. Its going to be a real slog to that trophy- currently at 9/32 Sols.

The timer keeps going when you are in a shelter, I think your ship too. So I literally installed one of the life support addons that made my life support last 1 hour, and then just AFK'ed through the trophy in a shelter where the extreme didn't actually affect me. You can logoff too
@Mega-Gazz: Yep i'm now huddled up in a shelter haha. Funny thing is though, I can see at least 2 red search lights going back and forth for the last 2 hours .
