Loving it guys! It's so chilled out or I feel very chilled out while playing. I streamed my first hour with the game for laughs.

I wish this game kept track of your play time. I would like to know how many hours I have been putting in to it haha.

Pro Tip: Uploading the encyclopaedia for a planet/moon with no creatures still counts as a completed entry. Just got a silver trophy for scanning...haven't scanned all the animals for a single planet yet.

Another Pro Tip: Don't bother hunting down drop pods. Hunt for the atlaskey V1 blueprint and there will be a suit upgrade at every space station through the door on the left.

@Shellcore: Do the suit upgrades at space stations still cost money? I assume they do.

I also wonder if you can find the AtlasPass blueprint without veering off and going to the Atlas stations? I'm going to be mostly following the path to the centre but having the AtlasPass would be really handy.

I've actually gotten quite lucky with drop pods. Up to 21 slots on my suit now, more than my current ship has

Suit upgrades cost the same as they do in drop pods, with the 10,000 unit increment in cost on each subsequent upgrade.
I got my Atlaspass blueprint from a space anomaly (like a space station). The anomaly was right in front of me when I entered a new system for the first time. Have encountered two so far. Don't want to say any more than that for risk of spoilers. Not sure if it was a fluke. Yea, I found spending money on suit upgrades more efficient than buying a new ship due to the cost difference.

I havn't got a Atlas pass yet (although the way point to my first atlas station is open) but finding upgrades via drop pods has been no problem and actually quite fun. I have 24 slots now - 4 from the same planet lol.

My ship only has 2 slots out of 20 left available since I upgraded the hell out of it to take out pirates, I can zap 3 or 4 out of the sky easily enough now!

@Quintumply: Your Exosuit can only hold up to 250 in one slot but your ship slots hold up to 500 in one slot.

Apparently one way to upgrade your ship is to scan/use scanners to find abandoned ships. These will be one slot above or below your current ship. Rinse and repeat. The ships I have tried to buy with 28 slots are going for 3-5 million!

@Shellcore: That's an awesome tip. I'll have to check that out when I get home, and see if I have a few planets listed as completed. I've only actually done one where I've scanned all the animals, but I've been on a few that had no creatures at all. That would make things easier 'cause finding those animals can be tough.

My biggest issue at the minute has become inventory space. I was doing fine for a while but now I have like nine Atlas Stones in my inventory that I don't want to part with in case they ever come in handy, and so my inventory is taking a beating. Time to get a new ship, I think.

Them atlas stones sell for loads. Where do you get blueprints for altaspasses tho? I havent encountered an atlas station yet. I'm still in my first solar system tho.
I've 6 planets in my first solar system and Im making loads from them planets so i aint for moving too far yet. I've a 25slot exosuit (very little upgrades yet as Im mining cash etc) and a 28slot ship(again very little upgrades yet) with filled warp drive waiting and about 3 million units to spend. Doesnt make sense to go any further outside the solar system while I've only completed 4 out of the 6 planets so far and all seem to be rather friendly. Sentinels are not very active on any of the first planets I've been too so I've been v. lucky.

I got my suit up to 30 inventory spots but still need a new ship. They cost so much...

@MadAussieBloke cheers m8 now I just gotta find one of these paths and follow it. I truly must have missed the bit of the story told about these things. Did a wee bit of reading up tho since posting above and think I'm sorted, now all I need is some gametime lol

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi: I feel you. I've had a few crashes also, usually from coming out of warp. Luckily, I usually have a save point from not too far in the past. Hope it gets fixed now, as at the moment I have to cover my eyes every time I arrive in a new system.

@themcnoisy: Not sure, think they are working more on getting the PC version sorted out at the moment? Again, I appreciate people are having different experiences but it's only crashed 3 times for me in all the hours I've put in...Is it really that bad for some people? :S

I think the crashes I've had have been heat related. Makes sense since the game is much more CPU bound than other games, being so procedural. Anyhow I've noticed the ps4 venting really hot air after crashes, and opening a window seemed to stop it.

EDIT: there is a window right behind my ps4

@MadAussieBloke: From your comment you seem pretty sure that loads of Atlas stones would be available.
I followed the path to its conclusion last night and not regurgitating something from a guide. Who would want to spoil anything!?

Yeah I stumbled across something yesterday, seems you want to keep the stones if you are doing the Atlus path.. Didn't really want to spoil anything for myself but I didn't look away in time haha
