Topic: How long does it take to get an install off disc?

Hi everyone. I have been waiting now for 32 minutes and the 1st disc of red dead Redemption still hasn't copied over (on 33/41.6gb) is this normal?

@themcnoisy depends on the game for some they will just install the basics then install as you play but for others it will have to install the entire thing first

so if RRRD is one of those install all games then yes sitting around for over 30 minutes is normal

@FullbringIchigo it's been way over an hour now. I have seen 1hr 20mins recorded on various websites for the pro and 1hr 35mins on the vanilla Ps4 for red dead. So just a bit more waiting to go.

Unfortunately I purged my hdd yesterday to get ready for my incoming games and don't have anything else to play while I'm waiting. Damn installs. #firstworldproblems

Yeah RDR2 takes ages

@themcnoisy Yeah I hate when that happens. Fallout 4 was the same.

@kyleforrester87 @Tasuki @JohnnyShoulder In 4 hours I've installed the game, managed to ride up a mountain and shot about 6 wolves and 4 reprobates. I want my time back its being pillaged by Rockstar!

@themcnoisy yeah the theme of RDR2 in general is "slow".

@kyleforrester87 that's the theme??? How did I miss that. Its all very Christmassy up on the hill with all the snow and your extended family. But usually they all do one by boxing day. The gang leader just loves introducing more people to the fold. Crazy lady - check - she can come over. Stupid bloke stuck on a mountain alone - check - bring him too. Why not bring the wolves as pets?
