Oh my, what can I say, many, many games really made me cry recently.

I can say the most impact I got was from Valiant Hearts, that end was heart breaking for me and the follow through real history and events, deaths and battles with the pieces of paper was a shock and a brutal experience.

The end of Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction with the goodbye/abduction from Clank for Ratchet was very sensitive for me too after more than four games of the franchise.

Journey of course, I Begun a game and didn't got interest at the first view in the desert and quit but at the second time I found a traveler in the middle of the desert and got stuck communicating and passing through the obstacles until the very end in the Ice, It was at the same time a moment of extremely joy and sadness until the afterlife and the end of the game in the mountain.

Tearaway Tearaway Tearaway TEARAWAY.
Mainly the ending, where I shed more than a few tears (tearshahageddit) at for probably way longer than I should have. Also, the music during the ending (as well as during the whole game) was fantastic and fit incredibly well.
Speaking of Vita games, Persona 4 also made me cry at the part where a certain character was in the hospital in a not-so-stable condition, I didn't exactly feel happier either when I got the bad ending for performing a particular action involving the TV.

You're so right with Tearaway. The music during the ending sequence completely tore through me. Such a memorable game.

My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

@ferrers405 I agree with you on Tools of Destruction, I honestly can't believe I left it out of my initial post. After a fun game that set up R&C's PS3 adventures, having Clank ripped away during the ending was a total whiplash.

To me, it'd probably have the same effect as Sully getting killed in the next Uncharted.

This is a really interesting topic! I shed many tears at the end of Valiant Hearts. But the big one for me was Bioshock: Infinite, as well as the subsequent Burial at Sea DLC.

Never got round to Burial at Sea, mainly due to price, but I plan on picking it up if I see it on sale at some point.

Well, with the latest EU sale looks like I'll be playing Burial at Sea now - with the additional 10% discount this weekend it'll work out at £6.50 for both episodes combined!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!
