Topic: Fortnite -OT-

So this game snuck by me, I never heard of it till a few days ago when some co-workers told me about it. According to them it's was an Xbox exclusive but, I saw it on the PSN store today.

To me it looks like Overwatch meets Black Ops Zombies so that really pique my interest. Anyone been following this game? Anyone here plan to pick it up? It looks like it might be something of interest to people like @AlexStinton or others around here that play games like Overwatch, Smite etc.

@Tasuki I saw during E3, think it was during the xbox conference but might be wrong? Liked the looks of it.

@kyleforrester87 Maybe that's where my co-workers got the idea that it was an exclusive.

I was planning to pre-order it last month but decided not to after I found out it was gonna be free-to-play in 2018. Think I just wait till next year to play it.

@Tasuki Don't think so, no. Weird one because it's early access so not really sure how to handle it.

@get2sammyb Ah yeah that makes sense. Maybe I will take a gamble and buy it.

@get2sammyb Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the game in it's current state is a complete game already. It's just that those who purchase it will get to play it early instead waiting for it to be free next year.

I downloaded the Battle Royal mode since I want to try PUBG but dont have a PC. Looks like it could be fun, will try it tonight.

Went to play the Battle Royale mode earlier. Got put in a 15 minute login queue. Sat it out. Told me I couldn't connect. Quit the game.

I don't know if this thread is too old to ask questions in, if so I can start a new one. Does anyone know if it's possible to transfer a fortnite account from a ps4 to a PC and keep all skins, current level etc? My son plays it on Ps4 and he wants to continue playing on his account (including all his progress and skins) on a PC instead.

@themcnoisy I saw this reported on the BBC News Online front page, of all places. Quite surprised that there hasn't been more noise made about it across gaming media.

That can't be Fortnite over and done with, surely? Maybe they'll launch a new map in its place?

It was leaked a few days ago that there's going to be a new map called chapter 2 @RogerRoger (It's on Nintylife) which seemingly has boats and stuff

Push Square are certainly making a statement by not covering it. Shame really. I know it gets a lot of hate in various comments sections but it's a game that is loved and played by millions. How about an article praising Epic Games for what is possibly the greatest piece of gaming marketing ever?

They are hardly going to end Fortnite just like that. It's only done to create headlines and hype around the game. I hope the servers can cope with everyone jumping back on the game on Thursday when it apparently will back up and running.
