So very much enjoying this so far. It has a Skyrim feel about in regards to the exploration and companions/guns for hire, minus the laborious crafting. There is crafting but it is all down on the fly through a radial menu.

I like the moment to moment gameplay, there is usually not long until you are in another scrap. The side missions have been cool so far, from zip lining from various erm, zips to find a secret stash of loot to defending a farm from drug spiked wildlife, it certainly seems quite varied at the moment.

I have come across quite a few bugs, which I find unacceptable in a game that has been out this long. I've had enemies randomly jump up 20 feet in the air, drop down and die. A base being liberated when I've not killed all the enemies. Enemies and vehicles dissappearing.

Still fun to play though, but as I mentioned elsewhere, I sometimes get either bored or overwhelmed by open world games. Think the mistake I made with Far Cry 4 is buying the in game maps which opened up all the collectibles on certain sections of the map. There feels less of that in this game, but I won't be doing any of that if you can.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

@Tasuki Maybe the scope of Far Cry 5 grander, but I do not recall coming across as many bugs in AC: Origins.

Just flown my first plane. I tend to stay away from stuff like that as most of the time the controls are crap. But it was super easy and a lotta fun.

Its been nearly a year since I played Far Cry 5 and I didn't come across any bugs - at least none that I noticed. I completed every side quest, in fact everything except all of the fishing challenges. The only issue I had was the way the story was presented and ultimately ended up being quite forgettable.

As you have to get enough 'reputation' to progress the 'story' in each of the 3 areas and in any order before you can do the final mission, there wasn't much of a story at all. Until you get help from recruits, the game can be a bit tough too but I did enjoy the game-play and the visual presentation. I haven't yet played the DLC - I do have the Season Pass from Gold but not yet got around to playing those.

Vehicle handling was fine - whether in a plane, a helicopter or land based vehicle...

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
