Topic: Download PS4 reinstallation file

I did a stupid thing today. After losing my temper at Fifa 20 i went a little crazy and started punching and kicking my ps4 a few times which somehow made it completely shut down. When i turned it back on it came up with the message "connect a usb storage device that contains an update 7.00 or later." It won't let me do anything else. After reading somethings online it seems i am going to have reinstall all the whole thing to basically its factory reset. I am now afraid i am going to lose Fifa 20 which is the only game i play on my ps4 at the moment. Will i completely lose the game and its saved data even though it is a downloaded copy from the ps store?

Please some one tell me i can just redownload the game from the store and i won't lose where i am at in game. Thx.

If you do a factory reset you will lose everything. Now your copy of FIFA is tied to your account so once you add your account you will have access to the game. Your saves however will be gone I am afraid to say.

@Genrou If you have PS+ your some of your saves are uploaded to the cloud.

so there is no way of getting my downloaded game back the way it was before.

@rikstar2019 Fifa 20 should be ok as @Genrou mentioned it is tied to your account and not the console. Once you have signed into the same account you bought the game on, you should be able to download it again.

For clouds saves on the PS4 go to Settings - Application Save Data Management - Download Saves to System Storage - Fifa 20

And the select what you want to copy over. Some games have a bunch of save files, others only have a couple. It might not be the latest saves as the ps4 only uploads periodically.

@JohnnyShoulder I certainly hope so as i have already put a lot of time, effort and sadly money into this new fifa and except the poor gameplay, i am enjoying the grind and have built a decent team that i don't want to lose.
